2: Secrets.

"It's okay. It's okay." Darius says panicked.

I shake my head, ridding it from the pain that shoots through my feet. I take a shaky breath to calm myself down and immediately hold up my hand, i have no clicker so i will need to do it differently.

Neither do i have food, so fuck me.

"Back!" I shout at the four of them.

"We're all okay." Darius says, as if he doesn't notice i'm in front of him.

Blue takes a step forward and i flick my fingers, trying to make them sound like the clicker and take a step forwards. I will either die or this will work. I have seen my father do it but he has a better bond with them than me.

"Back, girl! Back!" I shout at the four raptors, i watch as Blue cocks her head to the side.

A part of me gets the idea that she recognises me. I square my shoulders and before i can give the next command, i hear my compys chirp from my pockets. Which makes Blue cock her head even more and comes to a stand stil.

"Kenji, those bones, check for a raptor skull." Darius says, panicked.

"What?" Kenji asks confused.

"In the video game, I—..." he says panicked and steps on bones.

"You wanna talk about video games now?" They seem to argue, which is so stupid.

I yawn, feeling a hit tired and i take an experimental step forwards, i know that she could kill me within seconds but when she was little, i used to sleep in her enclosure. And she never hurt me then.

Darius trips over bones and falls to the ground, i turn my attention back to the two and he crawls on his back to Kenji. Both screaming in fear of getting eaten.

The four raptors snarl and i turn my attention back to them. Raising my hand up to show them that i am not afraid of them at all and that i am the daughter of their leader. They step closer but i hold my ground.

"No!" I command them, Blue looks at me.

"No! Let me out! Let me out!" I hear Kenji yell as i can hear him banging on the door.

"Back!" I command the four of them.

I don't back up like the others do, a part of me wants to scream when the four of them suddenly pounce on me. My back hitting the ground and I immediately have to laugh. I hear Darius and Kenji shout my name but I can't help the laughter that leaves my lips.

I feel big slobbering licks against my face, i had thought i would never experience their kindness again like this. They had been only hatchlings when they did this, my own raptors still do this with me whenever i see them. Maybe it's how my father and i raised them.

They lick my face to the extend that i feel my hair soaked in their thick saliva. Which i know is very hard to wash out. I brush my hands over their heads and i know one pushes off my slip in shoes and starts licking my feet.

I guess this will be a way to die too, laughing.

"Guys!" I try to say but i can't get far with how enthusiastically they seem to greet me.

Who knew? I'm not there one time, from all the days i have been there because i have never missed a day upon seeing them. Normally come say goodbye at night to them, but today i couldn't since i left in the afternoon to go to camp. I guess the big babies missed me.

Suddenly, i get blinded by all the lights above me. They falter in their licking my face and try to hide their face in my chest and the ground beside me. I brush my fingers over Blue's face, to comfort her a bit as she nuzzles her head against my chest.
