4- Yule ball Rumours

Willows POV

Lunch at last. Transfiguration class was a nightmare but potions was okay since thats the subject i'm best at. As i walked into the Great Hall i saw the Weasley twins and Lee Jordan they were sat at the Hufflepuff table since it's lunch they don't have to sit at their house tables.

Fred waved me over. "Hey guys" i said and slumped down next to Lee. "Woah what happened" Lee asked concerned. "Zabini's what happened" I replied. "What's he done now" The twins said together. " I did the spell wrong in transfiguration and it was so embarrassing! Then he did it right and turned around and said "That's how you do it" so i told him to shut up and got 5 points taken from Slytherin!" I blurted out all at once. "I hate all of them slytherins!" George said. "George." I said with a straight face. "Oh i forgot! All Slytherins except you!" He corrected himself. I laughed. "Is that why they are all laughing at you?" Fred asked. I looked over to the Slytherin table and they were all staring laughing at me.

Ron Weasley storms over to the table. He looks just like a younger George Weasley. "Lovegood! Why is there a rumour going around saying im taking you to the Yule Ball!" He shouted angrily. "What! I don't know this is the first time im hearing of the Yule Ball!" I replied shocked. The whole hall now staring at us. "Yes! Filch put up a notice this morning have you not seen the posters!" He shouted. "No I haven't! And why are you so angry!" I shouted back. "Because I wouldn't want to be seen with a Slytherin! No wonder your father thinks your a disgrace!"His face went bright red after the last sentence. "Go away Weasley!" I cried. Ron ran back towards Granger and Potter. "Whats gotten into him?" George asked. "I don't know" Fred said confused.

I'm confused where this rumour came from. I ate my sandwich in silence while the others chatted together. I see Zabini from across the hall then I remembered the embarrassing moment from transfiguration. Then I realised.

"It's Zabini's fault this rumour happened!" I quickly said. "What?" All three boys said at the same time. "In transfiguration he asked me how Weaslebee was because he saw me and Fred talking last night he must have thought it was Ron!"

Why would Zabini care anyway? Speaking of him he's coming this way right now! "Lovegood already scared off Weaslebee" he laughed with the rest of the Slytherins behind him. "No! He was never going to the ball with me in the first place you daft dimbo!" His face looked puzzled. "It was Fred who i was talking to last night and im not going to the ball with him either!" I added. "I guess your going buy yourself" they all laughed. "Even your sister managed to get a date" He said looking over towards Luna. I looked over too. He was right she was going with neville. "Well good for her you can go now" i spat.
