8- Quidditch

Willows POV

Todays lessons weren't the best. It's almost time for first exams and I'm not doing so well in school. If I fail my exams my father will be furious. Zabini has been off recently he's not been bothering me as much.

I never really realised how pretty Hogwarts was. As I walk down to the quidditch pitch I can see the black lake. The sunset glistening off the rippling water. The trees swayed in the light breeze and I could hear birds chirping.

Today's match is Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw. Fred is a beater on Gryffindor team. I'm sure he's going to do well. Once I get to the match I walk up to Luna and stand with her in the stands. Proffesor Hooch walks onto the pitch lugging the box behind her. She drops it onto the floor and blows her whistle. All at once the Ravenclaw team flies out of the changing rooms. They fly round the left side of the pitch where the Ravenclaws are stood. The left side of the stands start screaming and chanting. " Ra, ra, Ravenclaw! Ravenclaw win them all" The left stand roared. The Ravenclaw team the flew towards Proffesor hooch and stood in formation. On Hooch's second whistle the Gryffindor team flies out of the changing rooms just like Ravenclaw did. The right side of the stands erupt with chants as the team flew past.

Now both teams are stood in formation either side of Proffesor Hooch with the box between them. Lee Jordan's voice is heard all over the stands. "Proffesor hooch is getting ready to release the bludgers and the quaffle". "I want a fair clean game, 1, 2 , 3!" Proffesor Hooch shouted and the bludgers and the quaffle flew up into the air. Both teams mounted the brooms and kicked off the ground into the sky. Oliver Wood a 7th year boy grabs the quaffle first. "Gryffindor's in possession!" Lee shouts. The right stand was now chanting "Go , Go Gryffindor!". "A bludger is going straight towards Angelina Johnson who is about to score!"Lee shouts. Fred and George quickly fly towards the bludger. George gets there first and hits the bludger towards the left stands. My eyes follow the ball. I realise it's coming straight towards me. Fred realises too and flies towards me. He got to me and turned his broom round quickly almost flying of it and manages to hit the bludger away. His broom stops just a meter away from my face. He turns towards me smiles then flies away. "50 points for gyffindor!" Lee screams through the megaphone. The Gryffindors roar with excitement.

The match goes on for longer until Potter and Cho Chang both see the snitch. They both point their brooms towards the ground and speed towards the snitch. They almost hit the floor but pull their brooms up in sync before going for the snitch again. The snitch flies toward Angelina Johnson causing her to go of course. Roger Davies was able to grab the quaffle and score 50 points for Ravenclaw. None of the stands realise since they we're watching Chang and Potter race for the snitch. The snitch suddenly turns and Potter's right behind it but Chang had gone of course. Potter was able to catch the snitch. "Potter has caught the snitch! Gryffindor has won!" Lee roared through the megaphone. Gryffindors start celebrating as the teams lands on the ground.

I was waiting outside the changing rooms for Fred. He comes out all sweaty and out of breathe. As soon as I see him I run straight towards him and hug him. He wraps his arms around me. I can hear his heavy breathing in my ear. "You did so well" I say looking up at him. "All because you were there rooting for me" He replies smiling back. He grabs my hand and we walk back to the castle.
