Hawa was always my dream girl, there was something different about her...I just didn't know what it was, she was just different.

Different that her having a whole boyfriend made her more attractive in my eyes, made me crave her more.

I just kept gazing at her the whole time during this assembly in the auditorium full of students with tired eyes. It just felt like I was sitting on this chair for hours. My ass felt numb, and I was bored of it.

I sigh heavily gaping my mouth open whilst yawning before covering my mouth, "Is it home time yet Corey?" I turn around shaking my head side to side in Hawa's direction. She just chuckled cutely leaning her head down onto my left shoulder.

"You spoke to Hassan yet?" I ask gazing down at her dark brown eyes, complimenting the white bow hair tie she had wrapped around a piece of hair. Hawa smiled, and I melted, I always noticed the little things and shower with her compliments just because. "So no?" She shrugs yawning in response; confused.

"He brushed me off and told me to leave him alone, made me sad if I'm being honest. Corey I think he knows—"

I cut Hawa off before she could finish what she was trying to say, "Or maybe he's just mad at you because he's mad at me. I embarrassed him at his  little brothers vigil, so don't take it wrong way, he's just mad at me."

"You two need to make up already," Hawa says lifting her head up a bit, whispering lightly so nobody could hear us. "Y'all always make up and fight, so I really don't know why it's taking so long during the problem."

"His brothers still missing, so I guess it's taking a deep toll on him." I shrug, hearing the students around us clapping their hands with applause, struggling to the ignore my father standing in front of everyone. "God, my dad never knows how to shut up."

"He's just doing his job," Hawa rolls her eyes with a slight attitude, cheering lightly at the sight of everyone getting up from their seats from the words of 'Assembly dismissed, each class will have an excursion form for the senior camping trip outside of their rooms.' "Do you—" She drags out the you fiddling with her fingers, "You want to get lunch with me? With Hassan maybe too? I want us to be friends again."

I shrug, unsure about how I'm feeling right now. I really do feel like me and Hassan not being on speaking terms at the moment was over something small, and also feel like we should keep our distance at the moment. "I guess why not, keen for camp?"
