I sat in my room, working on my next song.

I couldn't get it to sound right.

I growled in frustration.

A knock on my door made me stop my anger momentarily.

"What?" I called.

My dad opened the door and roughly dropped a small gold and ice blue box.

"Sophie told me to give this to you." he grunted.

He shut the door.

It took me a moment before I left my bed to inspect the box.

The blue was exactly the same shade as my eyes.

And the gold, just like the flecks in her eyes.

I carefully open the small box.

A small cobalt blue crystal on a chain sat in the box with a note next to it.

The note had only two words:

Trust me.

I didn't know many things but I knew I could trust Sophie, no matter what.

I looked at the crystal.

I smiled as I recognized the cobalt crystal would go to one of the Forbidden Cities.

I slid the note in my pocket and held the crystal up to the light.

I stepped into the beam of light and was whisked away.

I appeared in a forest of some sort.

The trees were pretty far apart and I could almost see the night sky through the canopy.

I glanced around and saw Sophie.

"Took you long enough." she said.

She started heading in one direction.

I followed her.

"Uh, you gonna tell me where we're going?" I said.

All I could see was where Sophie pointed the flashlight.

"Trust me." she said simply.

"I already do." I told her.

She continued walking.

The trees started to thin until we were in a meadow.

I looked around for some house or human built structure but there was none.

Suddenly Sophie stopped.

She clicked off the flashlight.

I expected complete darkness but it was quite bright out.

Sophie's gaze was fixed on the sky.

I looked up and saw what she was looking at.

The sky was full of stars, bright and beautiful.

I could see a few planets as well.

Sophie sat on the grass and I joined her.

She pointed out some constellations humans had taught her.

"That's Orion's belt." She pointed at the sky.

I looked up, "There?" I jabbed my finger somewhere near where she had pointed.

She scooted closer to see what I was pointing at.

"No." She moved my hand gently to point at a row of three stars, "There."

I didn't care about the constellations.

She was so close, her breath warm on my cheek.

She moved away to leave a couple inches between us.

She pointed at a few other constellations.

I saw a bit of light in the sky moving across the sky.

"Oh! Shooting star!" I pointed at the moving light.

Sophie looked and then started laughing.

"What?" I asked.

"It's not a Shooting Star. Just an airplane." She said.

"Oh." I could quite hide my disappointment.

I could've used that wish.

Eventually the night had to end.

I leapt Sophie to Havenfield.

I walked her to the door.

"Night, Foster." I said.

"Good night." She entered the house.

I saw Grady looking at me.

Not in the suspicious way but in a gentler way.

"Thanks for bringing her back." He said.

"No problem." I said.

I leapt back to Candleshade.

Maybe things could change for the better.
