I looked through my scrapbook.

Not the scrapbook from my human life, one that Keefe gave me.

It wasn't made from photos but drawings.

Memories Keefe had of us.

He drew them then put them in the book.

It had slowly been growing bigger.

But now the scrapbook had come to a stop.

I would likely never get another memory in here.

I looked through the more recent ones.

Me and Keefe having a Mallowmelt eating contest.

The time I failed three times in a row to say Cassius's name.

When I tried, and failed to lift Ro's heaviest sword and Keefe was dying from laughter.

And smaller things,

Playing with Winn and Luna.

Resting under Calla's tree.

Skipping stones on some lake.

My eyes welled up with tears at each drawing.

None of them sparked any memory of the argument.

Keefe had specifically made sure all the drawings were all happy drawings.

Not that we were ever unhappy before the argument.

I heard a soft knock on my door.

"Come in." I said.

Grady entered.

He set something down on my side table before he sat next to me on my bed.

I was about to put away the scrapbook, I knew Grady didn't like Keefe.

He put his hand out to stop me.

"Let me see," He said.

I hesitantly gave him the book.

"Who drew these?" He asked as he flipped through the pages.

I choked up as I answered, "Keefe."

Grady closed the book gently and handed it back to me.

"You really like him don't you?" he asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"I guess I have been a little hard on that boy." I admitted.

I laughed a bit, "A little?"

"Oh Sophie, I was just afraid he would hurt you." Grady told me.

I leaned on Grady's shoulder.

"I think he is least likely to purposefully hurt me." I said.

He tucked a loose hair over my ear.

"I just want you to be happy. It looks like he made you happy."

"He did." I said.

Grady smiled and left me alone with my own thoughts.

I knew if there was any chance to salvage what we had I would take it.

I looked at what Grady had left on my nightstand.

A small bottle with a note taped to it.

I grabbed it.

Memory Serum, the label said.

I grabbed the note and read it.

I thought this might help for whatever you are trying to remember.

       -Keefe

I felt a small smile tug at the corner of my lips, maybe he still cared a bit.
