Present:

It was almost 8 in the night and Aarvi had not returned home. She was busy. Her mom called her the nth number of time only to recieve the same answer.

"Ha mumma, bas 10 minute aur aa rahi hu-"

[Ha mumma, 10 more minutes I'm coming. ]

"Aarvi, where are you? Aadhe ghante se yahi bol rahi ho, tum theek toh ho na beta?"

[Aarvi, where are you? You've been telling the same thing since past half an hour, you're fine right?]

"Ha mumma, mai aake bataati hu na. Aap chinta mat kijiye. And I'm in the bazaar."

[Ha mumma, I'll come and tell you na, you don't worry. And I'm in the bazaar.]

"Achcha, theek hai. Book karne ke baad call kar dena theek hai?"

[Okay fine. Call me once you've booked okay?]

"Ji mumma, don't worry."

[Yes mumma, don't worry.]

Minnie cut the call letting out a huge sigh.

"Ma thi kya?"

[Was it Ma?]

"Ji, aap vo chodiye, kiske liye dress lena chaahte hai aap?"

[Yes, you leave that, for whom do you want to purchase a dress? ]

"Umm, vo........ Batata hu, chaliye."

[Umm, that......... I'll tell you, let's go]

"Theek hai."

[Okay]

Both of them stopped at a kids clothing store as Minnie side eyed him squeezing her eyes in confusion.

"Yaha kyu?"

[Why here?]

"Andar chaliye, aapko pata chalega."

[Come inside, you'll know]

"Good evening ma'am, Good evening sir, what would you like to see?" - The salesman asked in a warm tone.

Smiling at him remembering that he too once was in the salesman's shoes, he spoke-

"A comfortable dress for a 5 year old girl. It's her birthday, kuch achcha sa dikhaaiye please."

[A comfortable dress for a 5 year old girl. It's her birthday, please show us something nice.]

Minnie, still confused played the game well and with a smile walked beside him to the casual wear section.

Ye bata kyu nahi rahe hai? Itna bhi kya chupana? - She was lost in her thoughts.

[Why is he not telling me? What is there to hide?]

One of the salesgirls giggled looking at Sid and Minnie standing opposite to them.

"Maam, kaunsa material chaahiye?" - She asked controlling herself.

[Ma'am, which material do you want?]

"Ha?... Uh... ..-" - Not knowing what to answer she silently looked at him who was busy in looking at her actions.

When he finally saw her, he understood what has to be done and spoke-

"Koi aisa material jisse use pareshaani na ho, rashes toh bilkul nahi."

[Some material that doesn't cause discomfort to her, rashes is a big no.]

Kaun hai ye? - She thought.
