Vegas reached the hospital as soon as he could. He followed the directions given by the receptionist to come in face with kinn. Kinn told Vegas that he dropped Porsche home and reached the hospital. The doctors were already informed about the victims and their background and they started treating both the driver and Pete immediately. Even before kinn arrived. They were getting anxious. It was a very tough situation. It was actually only getting very very bad. Kinn went out to take a smoke to relax his nerves. Vegas was still rooted in his place out side the operation theatre.

The family was also informed about the accident. But Vegas made sure no one comes to the hospital. All of them were elders and Porsche is carrying. Easily prone to any disease. Soo he strictly refused having anyone else. The situation was very serious. But no one knew what to do. The hustle of doctors and nurses moving in and out of the operation was heard in the background as Kinn and Vegas were praying all the gods on duty to save both the driver and Pete. After 2 hours of operation, the doctor came out and informed them about the driver's condition.

The driver was directly hit by the vehicle as he was sitting in the front. The sudden hit got the car smashed completely. Not sure how he would function once he wakes up. The air bags kinda saved him from damaging his head. But still it was very serious. Need to be observation for 24 hours for further details. Kinn informed the driver's daughter about everything. She was already present by the time the operation was done. Kinn bore all the operation costs of the driver. Soo it was the daughter's duty to take care of her father and get him well soon.

After operating for about 6 hours, the chief doctor who was operating on Pete cane out. He explained Pete's condition to kinn and Vegas.

Pete was not in any better condition. He was not having the seat belt so when the car turned over, he head was directly hit to the top of the car that was then on the ground. Multiple fractures and damages internally in his head. Pretty critical. Low chances of survival. Only can inform about the further progress once Pete is up. He was shifted into ICU from operation theatre and was under strict surveillance of the doctors.

Vegas was hyperventilating. He was not able to put his mind in to a single thing considering the situation. But he need to stay strong. He took a few minutes to gather himself. He looked through the glass to see a very weak person laying on the bed.

V: DOC, CAN WE GO SEE HIM???

D: AAHH... GIVE US A FEW MINUTES... WE EILL SHIFT HIM IN TO ICU AND THEN YOU CAN...

V: YEAH... OK...

D: VEGAS, KINN... YOU GUYS NEED TO BE STRONG... REALLY...IT IS NEITHER GOOD FOR YOU NOR GOOD FOR YOUR FAMILY...

K: YESS DOCTOR...THANK YOU...

Later the nurse called them and said that they can see Pete now. And kinn left to make a call for the family first. So Vegas entered the room. He eyes fell on his boyfriend. He was covered in bandages from his head to feet almost leaving no skin in the sight.  Tears started welling up in his eyes as his guilt started eating the life in him. It was soo painful for him to see his love lay lifeless in the bed. Machines attached to him, the life support system, the heart beat monitor, the slight movement in Pete's chest were only the signs of life present in the resting body. Vegas started to take Pete's hand in his as he slightly pressed his lips to it. He was trying to feel the warmth from Pete's palm. But it is almost soo cold.

He rested his head beside his head and looked at Pete. The exhaustion of the entire day with heavy flowing emotions took over his body. He slowly started to feel sleep taking over him. But he held Pete hand tight in his. He didn't wanna let go. Kinn entered the room to see Pete as well. He looked at both of them. He walked in with a weak smile that radiated a lot of sadness for them both. He slowly patted Vegas's head and left a kiss on Pete's forehead. He walked to the couch and sat down. As his exhaustion also came crashing on him, leaving him to take a nap.

8 hours after the operation...
Vegas woke up at the sound of the monitors. He shook himself to clear his fog and looked at the screen. The monitors are showing some fluctuations in the heartbeat of Pete. Kinn also woke up and ran to call the doctors. Vegas was calling for Pete and trying to understand the situation. The nurses and doctors came in. A nurse pulled at Vegas  taking him out of the room as the doctor started the treatment.  After an hour the doctor left the room with some reports. The nurses asked Vegas and kinn to doctors office and refused to let them in yet.

Vegas and kinn went in and sat in the doctor's office. Doctor was studying a report and asked them for a minute. Then he came back and sat down to explain them.

D: SOO, PETE'S CONDITION CURRENTLY UNDER CONTROL BUT....

V: THEN, WHY WERE THERE FLUCTUATIONS???

D: PLZZ STAY CALM FOR A BIT AND LET ME COMPLETE. THE MEDICATION WE GAVE HIM, COULDN'T GET HIM TO RESPOND ABD WAKE UP...

K: WHAT DO YOU MEAN DOCTOR???

D: DUE TO THE INJURIES, HIS SYSTEM IS NOT RESPONDING... IN RESULT, HR SLIPPED INTO A COMA NOW...

V: COMA???

All these words fell deaf for Vegas. His mind stopped functioning as he heard the word. Coma...
