V: COMA???

D: YESS... PETE IS CURRENTLY IN A COMA... A PROLONGED STATE OF DEEP UNCONSCIOUSNESS, CAUSED ESPECIALLY BY SEVERE INJURY OR ILLNESS... IN PETES CASE, IT IS A MAJOR HEAD INJURY... BUT IT IS ALL IN YOUR HANDS TO GET HIM SOON. 

V & K: US???

D: YES. COMA IS ACTUALLY NOT DEADLY. IT IS JUST THAT THEIR BODY CHOSES TO STAY IN A VEGETATIVE STATE FOR SELF HEALING DUE TO THE INJURIES. IT IS ACTUALLY A STATE OF ALMOST NO BRAIN ACTIVITY. BUT WE NEED TO KEEP TALKING TO THEM AND TRY TO GET THEM TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT THEIR SURROUNDINGS TO GET THEM TO RESPOND MORE QUICKLY. THEY CAN FEEL OUR TOUCH YOUR VOICE FEEL OUR EMOTIONS BUT ONLY LACK THE ABILITY TO RESPOND.

V: WHAT IS THE SURVIVAL CHANCE DOCTOR??

D: I SAID IT IS NOT DEADLY. THERE ARE MORE THAN 75% CASES WHERE PEOPLE WHO SLIPPED IN TO COMAS ACTUALLY RECOVER THEIR CONSCIOUSNESS AND LIVED A NORMAL LIFE SO PROPER CARE AND A PERFECT MEDICAL ASSISTANCE CAN DEFINITELY GET THEM TO RESPOND AND WAKE UP AGAIN. SO DO NOT LOSE HOPE LET US NOT THINK ABOUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN OTHERWISE AND GIVE OUR BEST TO SAVE PETE... GOT IT???

Kinn and Vegas got up after thanking the doctor. Kinn left to inform the family first as Vegas walked towards Pete's room. He walked in and saw a nurse adjusting the wires and injecting some liquid to Pete's IV drip. He sat down looking at the activities in the room as they continued to do their job. Some other people came in and attached a urine bag to Pete's body. After all the other adjustments were made, they bowed and left the room. Vegas then stood up and walked towards the bed. He sat on the chair and kept looking at Pete. Kinn entered the room. Vegas started to speak.

V: P'KINN YOU MUST GO HOME NOW. CAUSE P'PORSCHE NEEDS YOU THERE.

K: BUT I CAN'T LEAVE YOU CRY ALL BY YOURSELF HERE. ITS OKAY. I ALREADY TALKED TO PORSCHE HE IS FINE.

V: BUT I AM NOT. ITS OKAY P'KINN. YOU GO HOME AND COME BACK TOMORROW ILL STAY WITH HIM HERE. I WILL BE FINE TRUST ME.

Kinn was actually left with no option. So he sighed left the room. He instructed the doctors to take a special care of his brother and left to take care of Porsche.

Vegas was just sitting there looking at Pete. Just the same. Then he started to tell him about what happened with him in the office the previous day. He was just trying to make a conversation with Pete just as the doctor suggested. But the conversation was just a monologue. He kept speaking until he felt his eyelids getting heavier. He slowly got into the bed and slowly slipped into sleep hugging Pete after making sure there was no disturbance or discomfort to Pete.

1 week later...
Vegas again woke up and looked at his boyfriend. He looked soo beautiful even like this. His face was no longer pale but the colour didn't exactly return. His lips and skin were perfectly maintained as Vegas always made sure to moisturize Pete's skin all the time. Vegas was taking the best care he can as he also took online classes this past week. Vegas also used his influence in San Diego and spoke with Pete's professor and explained their situation. Soo professor helped Vegas by applying a medical leave for a long term for Pete. This entire thought process came to a halt as the door opened. Kinn walked in taking his clothes and other necessities, just like everyday.  Kinn sat beside Pete and started telling Pete about porsche's weird pregnancy craving and some badass mood swings as Vegas takes a shower.

Vegas came back to the room and sat down to study a little as kinn was taking care of his boyfriend. Vegas couldn't concentrate exactly but he needs to study. Though it is heartbreaking for him to study while his laid motionlessly, he knew there are more PPL that hv expectations on him. He couldn't deny that he wants to be responsible and not break down. He sighed heavily and buried his head in to the book.

After about two hours the doctor came in and checked the vitals.

D: KINN, VEGAS, DID YOU OBSERVE THIS?? PETE IS ACTUALLY BEIG RESPONSIVE TO YOU GUYS. CAN YOU NOTICE IT??

K: DOCTOR?? WHAT DO YOU MEAN?? CAN YOU ELABORATE???

D: WHEN WE TALK TO OUR LOVED ONCE OR WHEN WE HEAR OYR LOVED ONES OUR HEART BEAT STARTS TO RAISE. IT IS A NATURAL INSTINCT. AND I OBSERVED WHEN PETE WAS HEARING TO YOU BOTH, HE HAD SOME STEADY CHANGE IN HIS HEARTBEAT. ITS SPEED IS INCREASING BY A FEW BEATS SOO IT IS STILL UNNOTICED.

Vegas did not really notice this. But he was happy as Pete was also trying to respond to them. Isn't that a good sign?? He felt very happy. Kinn was also almost in tears. Later the doctor left the room as kinn also left as he had an important meeting and then he needs to find some spicy southern curry for Porsche after.

Vegas came and sat beside Pete. He was looking at Pete feeling soo happy. But his trans was destroyed as he received a call. It was the private detective the theerapanyakuls appointed to investigate the accident. It has been two weeks since the accident and he was hired a 10 days ago. He was calling to give a report and Vegas walked out of the room. He didn't want Pete to listen about the accident as it might ruin the healing.

DET: GOOD AFTERNOON MR VEGAS. THIS IS KING, THE PRIVATE DETECTIVE.

V: GOOD AFTERNOON SIR. HOW IS THE INVESTIGATION GOING SOO FAR. ANY NEWS???

DET: YESS SIR. I HAVE CHECKED THE CCTV FOOTAGES OF THAT ROAD. BUT THERE WASNT ANY CAMERA NEAR THE ACCIDENT SPOT. I THINK IT WAS A PRE-PLANNED AND THE PERSON WHO CAUSED THIS MIGHT HAVE A GRUDGE AGAINST MR.PETE OR YOUR FAMILY. BUT I OBSERVED A LARGE VEHICLE FOLLOWING MR.PETE'S CAR FOR A WHILE BEFORE THE ACCIDENT SO I WILL INVESTIGATE ABOUT THE VEHICLE FIRST AND I'LL ALSO HAVE TO LOOK AROUND JUST IN CASE SOMEONE FOLLOWED YOUR BOYFRIEND BEFORE THE ACCIDENT. SOO THAT'S IT FOR THE UPDATE. ILL CALL YOU AGAIN.

Vegas fell into a deep thought about who would have about who might probably want to kill Pete.

Vegas was wiping his boyfriend's body gently lke everyday. That is when he heard...
