It had been two years since Giyuu had encountered uppermoon two. It had been a rough two years, he was fifteen now though it didn't mean much to him. He did meet the demon again a few months ago. It was a mission in a small town. Giyuu wasn't sure the demon remembered him, so he didn't stick around long after he killed the demon. Currently, Giyuu was In the butterfly, bandage over his eyes. A demon had been rough to deal with and ended up hitting his face. Kanae the flower hashira had just left the room to get some new bandages for his eyes. Giyuu hated being in there, he just needed her to rewrap his eyes so he could sleep."I'm back Tomioka~san!" He heard Kanae call in a singing voice. He sighed but didn't say anything. He looked up at her or the best he could with the bandages, and he heard softer footsteps behind her. That was Kanae's younger sister, he hoped he was right. He couldn't remember her name. "Stay still," Kanae ordered when she sat down next to him. He did as told. He kept his eyes closed. The wound still slowly letting his blood fall. Giyuu heard a hum of disappointment from both sisters.
"You'd have to stay here for a week. I want to keep up with the healing process. But it isn't permanent damage." Kanae's said as she cleaned his wound. He held back a flinch when she placed her hands on his face, he'd rather not be questioned. Giyuu nodded slowly when he felt Kanae remove her hands, and his shoulders dropped slightly, he still felt uncomfortable but it was better. "Shinobu?" He hears.
"Yes, Nee~san?" He heard a younger girl's voice. He could feel Shinobu's glare. He understood family was important to most slayers due to lost ones.
"I want you to keep me updated on his condition for now," Kanae said as she wrapped his head. He let out a small sigh, it was not noticed by the sisters.
"Okay, be safe," Shinobu said softly as Kanae got up and left the room. Giyuu turned in what he hoped was the wall. Being a rank below Hashira lets him have a personal room. But it was accessible to all ranks unfortunately so he often had unwanted guests. "Soooooo. What was the demon like?" He heard Shinobu ask, he felt her sit at the edge of his bed.
"Ugly. But too full of pride to defend himself in battle." Giyuu said shortly, he wanted to sleep before he had more unwanted guests...like Murata. And he wasn't too used to talking to others than Murata.
"Did it have a BDA?" She asked, BDA was short for blood demon art. Giyuu nodded.
"It only allowed the demon to have luck with attacks, but it was quite weak," Giyuu explained to her. He puts his hand on the stand next to him a feels for the glass of water. His fingers bump against the glass slightly and he slowly picks up the cup and brings it to his mouth.
"You adapted quickly to being temporarily blinded." Shinobu comments, Giyuu froze slightly, he had forgotten she was there. He slowly nodded, he hated the reason why he was adapted to being blind.
"I've been told..." was all he could say, he wished for her to leave, he wanted to sleep despite it being his enemy.
"Well....dinner is in a few hours. I'll leave you be for now. If you need anything call for any of the triplets Naho, Kiyo, and Sumi, and they will be then as quick as they can." Shinobu told Giyuu as she stood up. Giyuu nodded and didn't say a word. It ticked Shinobu off. Not even a thank you? Giyuu traced the top of the cup. He listened as Shinobu left, her footsteps fading. Giyuu slowly put the glass back onto the stand and shifted in his bed. He could tell he was facing the door. The air was cool, a breeze swept into the room. A couple of Crows shouting at healed slayers for their next mission faded as sleep took over him.
