He laid on his back, he still wasn't used to such hospitality. The Master was kind and understanding. And he asked him to be a Hashira? God, he felt like an idiot when he doubted the master, he did it not once but twice and the Master still invited him to stay the night. Running water from the stream outside was peaceful, he turned his head, he left the guest room backdoor open, letting the night cool the room. His crow was gone, doing something, he would see him in the morning, the swaying of trees was almost mute compared to the running water. Should he take the Hashira position? How could he take the position made for Sabito? He was weak. He tried to let those thoughts leave his mind, he needed sleep.
"I guess I could, Master said I was cut for it." He mumbles to himself as he lies on his side, facing the backdoor.
*Gore? Nightmare*
He opened his eyes, forest surrounded him. Where was he, he had a sword, not his though. That was even more confusing, his nightmares or dreams were about Jigoku, a man who often just tested his blood, trying new medicine on him, or experimental medicine, it would fuck him up for sure. How he ever trusted that man went over his head. Well, his sister had just died and he had been stupid enough to run away in the middle of winter.
"Giyuu, watch out!" Someone shouted he recognized that voice. He turned around, something had just slayed his face, he didn't scream but got out of the way. He scanned the area. Final selection. What? The demon looked similar, he fell to his knees as the ground shook. Murata had come to his side, he held his face. A cool liquid dripped down his face. The demon who had smashed him was approaching, a boy with peach or salmon-colored hair came out of nowhere, but he knew that boy, the hair, his voice.
"Third Form: Flowing Dance!" The boy yelled the water from the form and slayed the demon in a quick motion. He nearly cried as the shaking of the ground got worse, and soon, an ugly-looking demon with hands all over its body appeared. Sabito stood in front of him, he looked at him in horror, he knew what was going to happen. "Get out of here!" Sabito yelled to Murata and he didn't move, They watched as Sabito jumped into the air, the demon started speaking but he couldn't comprehend what it said.
No, No, No!
He wanted to scream and cry, he couldn't relive it, he wanted to look away or even close his eyes but his body refused to listen. He watched as his sword broke. He felt tears run down his face, he remembered the whole thing. Murata helped him stand up, he was trying to get them to move. But then it happened.
Crack!
He wanted to throw up, he felt the blood on his face, the blood of Sabito running down the demon's hand, Sabito's body hitting g the ground, what looked like Sabito's brain laned everywhere, on his feet. He silently throws up as Murata hides them behind a tree. Sabito's blood is still on him, the crunch as the demon steps on his body as it walks away, he remembers peaking from behind the tree, the busy of the boy who was supposed to be the water hashira lay headless, he dragged Murata with him. He wanted to, we'll he couldn't remember what he wanted to do. Everything went black.
*Morning*
He sat up, holding a hand to his mouth, and he immediately crawled outside, He threw up what he had eaten last night, sat on his legs, and wiped his mouth. God, that was disgusting. He stood up, shaking at that, and made his way to the bathroom. He would clean up, have breakfast, and tell the Master his decision. He would take the position, he would save as many lives as he could before he was killed.
Everything after breakfast was a blur, he barely ate what Amane~sama made. He still felt bad, she made amazing food. He sat in silence with the Master.
"Have you reached a decision?" The Master asked him, he looked at the Master, and he nodded.
"I will take the position of Hashira." He told the Master. He fiddled with the sleeve of the yukata he had been lent. The grey yukata was soft, he liked it if he was being honest.
"That is great news Giyuu. I shall hold a meeting tomorrow, you should get to know your colleagues." The Master told him, sipping on his tea. He bowed to the Master. He was grateful that the Master had let him stay, and had given him the choice of being a Hashira.
"Thank you, Master." He said, sitting back properly. He was handed a cup of tea by the Master. He nodded and thanked him quietly.
"Please, when in my home call me Kagaya. Be professional when in meeting only." The Master, no Kagaya~sama said, he bowed again.
"I will, thank you." He stood up to leave. Kagaya~sama stopped him."Stay again please, your hashira estate location will be told to you today after the meeting," Kagaya~sana told him, he nodded and sat down. His mentor never really talked about the Water Hashira estate, he was the previous Water hashira. Well, Urokodaki never told him. He might have told Sabito. Oh, guess he didn't believe he would be a hashira. How wonderful.
"Okay, I will." He told him, the hot tea burned his throat.
