A bit later, Maddie explained everything to Sonic 'who was a bit shocked that Maddie was a volunteer at the FCFA'.

They were sitting at the bar of the room as Sonia spoke with Corine.

Sonic asked, "So yer a volunteer? I heard rumors but I didn't think they were true."

Maddie sighed deeply and said, "Yeah. Look, I know this is shocking but I wasn't trying to hurt anyone. During my time at vet school, I volunteered here for a friend of mine. I didn't just want to help animals. I wanted to help these young girls. The FCFA is more than an organization. It's a school and a home for young girls that have no parents."

Sonic replied, "So I heard. Look. I maybe a little shocked at this new info but on the other hand. You found my twin sis. I should be thanking you."

Maddie replied, "Hey. It's not a problem and all Sonic. But had I known you were one of her lost brothers I woulda taking you to her. But I wasn't sure."

Sonic then asked with uneasiness, "How did you find her?"

Maddie replied, "That's something you should ask her."

Sonic looks at Sonia before he asked, "Does 'he' know about you?"

Maddie answered calmly, "Well? He does now. But he's a tad upset. I never told him about me being a volunteer or yer sister. After everything that's been happening. I would've told you about her."

He then walks off to a table nearby and said, "Well, even so. You took care of her and I'm grateful for that. Now that I knew. Believe it or not, She and our big brother are the only family I have left when my birth parents. You know... And I mean the only biological family I have. No offense."

Maddie smiled a little and replied, "I understand Sonic and none taken."

Maddie then said, "Oh and sorry for lying about... 'you know'. I only said that cause I wanted you to take Rika there."

Sonic replied as he sat down, "Don't worry about it."

Sonia then walks to her and hugged her.

She then asked as she broke the hug, "I had no idea you found my twin brother Maddie. It's amazing yet surprising. How did you find him?"

Maddie answered as Sonia sat down, "Actually. He found us. we had no idea. Least until my husband..."

She trailed off in an awkward way. She then asked, "If that's true, how did he and you encountered him?"

Maddie chuckled in embarrassment and replied, "It's a long and complicated story Sonia. My husband encountered him first before I did and I was at Rachel's at the time."

Sonia asked politely, "How is Rachel and Jojo doing?"

Maddie replied, "They're okay."

Sonic looked up as the two girls talked about what they have been missing.

Sonic thought as he looked at the knife his real father's knife, "Me and my older sibs are... Children of a legendary warrior and LongClaw never told us? What else were you keeping from us Longclaw?"
