"Find something worth saving, it's all for the taking."
~~

The next morning, Percy was moved to cabin three. Nobody mentioned the hellhound, but a few campers whispered about it here and there.

Aurora was in her cabin talking to Silena when Annabeth barged in. "Chiron wants us, now."

"Why? What's wrong?" Aurora quickly sits up. Assuming the worst, she thinks back on any bad things she's done within the last week. Nothing was enough for her to get called to the Big House.

"Just come on," Annabeth says as she pulls her best friend out of her cabin. The nerves of the two girls chewed up inside of them. What could this possibly be about?

When they finally got there Chiron approached them, "I am going to offer Percy a quest. And I want you two to go with him."

Aurora felt as if her stomach dropped. This is good news. Why does it feel as if it's not?

"It is believed that Percy has stolen the master bolt and though we know that is not true, Zeus doesn't quite believe that. Our only idea is that Hades has stolen it, used an accomplice, and set up Percy as the thief." Chiron explains. "Are you two going to accept?"

Annabeth had the biggest smile on her face, her body was practically going to explode from excitement. "Of course, you can count on us."

Aurora just slightly smiled in response. Wherever Annabeth went, she went.

"Now you two go hide somewhere, as I explain everything to Percy."

The two girls did as they said, Annabeth put her hat on as Aurora hid behind a bush.

They listen as everything was explained to Percy and while Annabeth's smile most likely got bigger, Aurora's frown deepened. Why she was upset? She didn't know. She needed this to prove herself. She should be overjoyed!

But she wasn't.

Chiron's voice pulled her out of her thoughts, "Two companions may accompany you. Grover is one. The other has already volunteered, if you will accept her help."

Aurora was deeply confused because last time she checked, she was also here to help and unless she failed second grade math, that would be 3 companions.

"Gee," Percy said, feigning surprise. "Who else would be stupid enough to volunteer for a quest like this."

Aurora watched as Annabeth became visible and stuffed her Yankees cap in her back pocket.

"I've been waiting a long time for a quest, seaweed brain," she said. "Athena is no fan of Poseidon, but if you're going to save the world, I'm the best person to keep you from messing up."

"If you do say so yourself," Percy said. "I suppose you have a plan, wise girl."

Annabeth's cheeks colored, "Do you want my help or not?"

"A trio," Percy said. "That'll work."

"Now, normally a trio is the more acceptable option. But a certain someone requested that we added an additional member." Chiron explained.

"Isn't three the sacred number?" Annabeth asked.

"Well, yes. But this is a special case regarding The Fates and that is something even I can't interfere with. Aurora, dear."

Aurora then came out of her hiding place with a confident smile. She crossed her arms and raised her eyebrow asking Percy to try to say something which only resulted in the roll of his eyes.

"Excellent." Chiron said. "This afternoon, we can take you as far as the bus terminal in Manhattan. After that, you are on your own."

Lightening flashed. Rain poured down on the meadows that were never supposed to have violent weather.

"No time to waste." Chiron said. "I think you should all get packing."
