RAYNE AMES

As [your name] took off, I couldn't help but blush furiously after she made that sad face. How tempting those lips are again! Get a hold of yourself, Rayne.

"Hi, Mister? Were you [your name]'s friend?" I turned to see who was talking behind me, and it was the girl who was sitting beside [your name] in the kitchen. "Yes." I answered shortly and felt some tension within me.

"I see. Where could she be? I would like to know what her classes are so we can go together." She told me directly as she grabbed a piece of paper and showed it to me, which is her class arrangement. Good thing that I saw the Dark Magic class in hers.

"Oh, there's only one class you have with her." I told her, which made her eyes glitter. I ignored that and turned around when something felt heavy in the surroundings that followed a loud explosion, which made me run in its direction, and there I saw the tension between [your name] and Safira.

The students were around the area and were gossiping about the event that occurred. It doesn't concern me at all, but [your name].

"[your name]!" I called as I rushed to get beside her and immediately check if she'd been hurt somewhere. "It's wonderful of my fiancé and the nightmare who destroyed the future of so many students of Madrigal." My eyes went to Safira, who was smiling smugly at the sight of us, and [your name], who's shaking from what she heard. Her eyes were filled with hope that Safira didn't mean any words, but she failed to get those as she forcefully removed my hold on her and ran away.

"Stop this, Safira." I declared coldly, which hurt her as she ran towards me, clinging to my arms. "Common Rayne, I'm your fiancée. You should be on my side." She uttered, which made me scoffed and harshly remove her arms from mine.

"I never accepted that you're my fiancée." I told her and eyed her coldly, which made her tears stream down her cheeks from what she had done. I turned around to follow after [your name], but Safira shouted a threat.

"She should be careful. I can't be stopped if that means taking what originally belongs to me." I turned to face her once more and smirked. "Try it. So I'll be the one to wake you up from your delusions." I uttered it coldly and started to walk in the direction where [your name] took off.

She might be thinking that what happened at Madrigal was her fault. Surely not; we did everything to find all of the students and allowed them to attend Easton until they graduated. The headmaster of Madrigal agreed and supported the students financially, which settled everything.

Not so long later, I found her sitting under a tree. Hugging her knees as she cries. I made my way towards her and pulled her into a hug. She sobbed continuously as I caressed her back.

"Did I destroy everyone's life and future?" She questioned me once she settled from crying, and I responded with a hush. "No. You're the victim, so don't blame yourself." I told her, which made her silent as I remained beside her.

We stayed there for a couple of minutes, and the third class was about to start, so I asked her to get up, which she lazily followed. "The first and second classes are the ones we have the same, and the third and fourth are not, but your roommate has the same class as you." I told her, which she acknowledged with a nod and started walking with me, following her.

She's so silent, and it's not doing her anything good. She's just thinking so much about what's already happened. When we're about to turn around to get into our class, I reach for her hand, which makes her halt, and turn around to face me. Her face is in a state of confusion, which made me smile.

"Want to go somewhere?" I asked her, which made her hesitate, but I squeezed her hand slightly, reassuring her that we'd be alright. She held back on my hand as we made our way out of Easton.

Both of us were silent as we walked this pathway that'd lead us to the beach nearby. I'm not sure if she's been here before, but that doesn't matter. I just want her to be at ease and away from those questioning eyes.

Upon reaching our destination, I could see delight in her eyes as she looked around the area as the sea reached the sandy shore. She turned around to face me with excitement in her eyes, which made me nod, and she instantly took off and ran towards the water.

I could see happiness filling her face instantly, as if all of her worries were gone, and I would like her to stay like this. I couldn't help but smile just by watching her enjoy herself with the water touching her feet. "Rayne! Over here!" She called me as she gestured both of her hands to get near her, to which I complied.

I bent down to reach the end of my pants to pull them up a little bit to avoid them getting soaked by the water. I stand beside her, and we just watch the sun that is about to set. Its wonderful hue of orange is grazing on her skin as she slightly smiles and turns to face me.

"Thank you, Rayne. It's my first time being on the beach and watching the sunset." She admitted, as she turned her eyes back to the sun, that she admires it. The soft breeze of the wind made her hair dance along. My heart skipped a beat when she intertwined her fingers with mine and leaned her head against my shoulder.

"No worries." I answered her shortly as I returned my eyes to the sun as well.

"How long will you be away for your mission?" She questioned me, which I almost forgot. "About three days." I answered her instantly, which made her sigh deeply.

"Is something wrong? Don't you want me to go?" I asked her, which made her push me lightly and laugh it off. "No, silly! I'm just worried that Safira will come after me again." She answered honestly as she looked down.

"Want me to tell Max to watch over you?" I questioned her, and she declined. "If you did that, I'm just making myself weak. Besides, I can fight back now without harming Nemesis." She answered with a little smile, which made me smile as well.

"Alright, then I'll see you in three days." I asked her, and she responded with a nod. She was stoned in her place when I leaned towards her and pressed my lips on hers, which surprised her. Her eyes were wide, which made me chuckle.

"You're so adorable; make me want to own you."
