"Mere office mein chalo" Amar said in deathly quite voice and turned to walk towards his office,
Achintya felt shivers run down his spine at his fathers tone but turned to follow him. Once they reached, Amar latched the door and then turned to Achintya.
"Kaise hua yeh sab?" he asked Achintya with a pointed glare.
Achintya fumbled for words, "Woh .... Woh baba Meethi ko...."
"Meethi ko bina wajah achanak asthma attack toh nahin aayega toh kya mein jaan sakta hun ki aisa kya hua tha wahan jis se use itna severe attack aise achanak aa gaya." Amar sharply asked, putting a stop to his stuttering.
"Meethi baba... Meethi car mein thi aur kuch...kuch lad......ladke use pareshan karne lage. Shayad us.....usi wajah se dar gayi aur attack aa gaya." Achintya somehow managed to form the words to speak.
"Aur sirf Meethi car mein kyun thi Achintya, tab aap kahan the laad sahab?" Amar asked almost sarcastically, his anger rising by the second.
"Baba woh...woh mujhe ek urgent kaam aa gaya tha bas usi ke liye gaya tha thodi der ke liye." Achintya answered, though his own words seemed trivial to his ears. His sister had almost lost her life today, and despite the fact that he had no way of knowing this would occur, it didn't change the fact that he felt guilty for leaving meethi alone, no excuse or urgent work seemed to justify the incident.
"Urgent kaam VVR mall ke paas pohonch kar hi yaad aaya, Achintya?" Amar mocked.
Achintya was confused. What did his father mean by that? What did VVR mall have to do with this? He looked at this father with wide eyes but he was having a bad feeling about this.
"Ab aise bhi mat dekho mujhe. Baap hu tumhara, nas nas pehchanta hun tumhari. Mere na kehne ke bawjood tum Meethi ko gaadi mein akela chod kar apne un doston ke saath concert dekhne VVR mall chale gaye, kyun hai na? Yahi tha na tumhara urgent kaam?" Amar bellowed.
Achintya was bewildered. How could his father even think that he would go to the concert to enjoy himself leaving his sister alone in the car for hours, that too when he had taken the responsiblity of dropping her off to her camp on time? He hurried to give his explanation.
"Nahin nahin Baba aap galat samajh rahe hein, woh toh Shashank aur Ravi..." he was cut off before he could finish.
"Shashank aur Ravi tumhein aghwa kar ke concert dikhane le gaye. tumhara toh isme koi bas nahin chala, nahi?"asked Amar.
"BABA NAHIN!!! tickets mere naam pe thi aur Ravi aur Shashank ko concert mein meri ID verify karaye bina entry nahin milti isliye mujhe bas ID verify karne jaana pada." Achintya screamed, enraged that his father wasn't believing nor letting him explain.
"Han han, ID verify karne jaana pada tumhe.Tum kahan concert dekne jaa rahe the, nahin? Kitna jhut bologe Achintya? Bachpan se jaanta hu mein tumhari harkatein. Bachpan se aise hi ho tum.gair zimmedar, befikar, aur ye tumhara music ka pagalpan!! Bachpan mein padhayi nhi karte the, group study ke bahane jaa ke woh tun tuna guitar bajate the. Puri college life mein padhayi ki jagah in hi awara doston ke saath music fests attend karne mein bita Diya. Ab job mein bhi kaam nhi kiya jaata, music joh priority hai aapki. Aur aaj toh had hi ho gayi. Apni behen ki jaan se zyada tumhe important laga. Arey agar kaam nhi karna tha, itni hi dikkat hai tumhe meri baat maan ne mein toh pehle bol dete. Beech raste mein meri beti ko patak Dene ki jagah keh dete ki tum Aisa karne wale ho toh mein hi use drop kar deta.Mein meeting chod deta, meri liye meeting apni bacchi ki jaan se zyada important thodi hai, tumhara music bhale kisi ki jaan le ke hi maane."
