Solarballs- Breathless

The first night it happened (start)

Jupiter shut the door behind himself. "Did everyone have a fun time at school today?" Jupiter asked the standard parental question, getting groans from everyone. "Feedback taken!" Jupiter chuckled.

"I think I bombed that test." Ganymede said, crossing his arms and clearly looking outside. "It's shitty weather out and now we can't go outside."

"Eh, whatever! The mud is gross anyway, you got it all over my pants the other day." Europa pouted, grabbing her bag and throwing it down near the door. She took her shoes off before going upstairs.

"I think I failed that test too Ganymede." Callisto laughed. She looked quite different, dressed in black with white circle scars on her face. "We should probably get you some medicine for your acne Callisto," Jupiter said, getting something down from the pantry.

IO came in quite bubbly, setting his bag down a bit soaked from the rain outside. "Hey Dad!" IO said quite happily. Jupiter was surprised at the name and turned around quickly to see what IO needed. "Yes IO?" Jupiter chuckled.

"Did you know that Saturn is coming to town again? He will be staying here! He's moving here!" IO said happily. Jupiter rubbed the back of his neck a bit shocked.

"Why do you say that?" Jupiter asked.

"We saw Timmy at school." Ganymede chimed in.

"Titan." Callisto corrected.

"Whatever..." Ganymede rolled his eyes.

"We like Saturn, right?" IO said confused. Jupiter laughed gently and rubbed his head. "Yeah, he's an extremely close friend of mine." Jupiter picked him up.

"WEEE!" IO giggled and laughed. Quite excited to be high up from the ground. Callisto looked excited as she saw both of them having fun. "Ganymede do you ever think you'll be that strong?" She joked.

"Oh shut up." Ganymede looked at them before having a distaste. Callisto frowned at his reaction before going over to Jupiter. Jupiter looked down at her before placing IO back on the ground. "Do you think we should eat dinner together?" Callisto asked.

"I think that's a really good idea Callisto. We should eat dinner together, but I don't really know what to make.." Jupiter said as he placed his hand under his chin wondering. Callisto quickly chimed in by saying "Noodles!" as she pointed to a book with Japanese wording in it.

"What is this?" Jupiter questioned not knowing.

"It's called Soba! It's a type of noodle." Callisto smiled showing her braces. She flipped the page over to show all the ingredients needed. Jupiter smiled and playfully sighed at the long recipe. He wasn't that good at cooking, he would always ask Saturn to cook due to his love for it.

He remembered their old classes in high school together and the warm memory brought happiness to him.

"I can try, but you can't blame me if they turn out badly!" Jupiter said smiling. Callisto laughed and went to see what Ganymede and Europa were up to.

After a while, Jupiter had finished making the noodles, with a lot of errors and issues within the kitchen he finally found himself done and covered in flour and egg whites. "It tastes okay.." Jupiter said as he didn't like the taste but it was his first time after all! He started to clean up before he shouted "Dinner!" He yelled cupping his hands together to form a small cone to make it a bit louder.

Ganymede came down first with his phone in his hand as he sat down at the table looking at the noodles like.. "what the fuck is this?" He then looked up at Jupiter. Callisto came down with socks as she hit the floor and slid to the table happily seeing the noodles.
