Emergency

After the Sun Meeting, Jupiter and Saturn return to the house.

"Can you get the door for me?" Jupiter held a small sun-themed bag in his hand that looked like a gift. Saturn nodded, closing the car door behind him. He could barely walk in a straight line. "I knew you shouldn't have had that much wine. Try not to act tipsy for me." Jupiter gave a gentle smile shaking his head.

"But- I like wine," Saturn said as he opened the screen door so he could get to the main door.

"I know but you shouldn't have had that much." Jupiter sighed.

Saturn gently opened the door, there he saw IO fast asleep on the couch as Europa and Titan seemed to be playing poker with actual money. The poker chips were pushed to the side as if they were unneeded. "Does anyone know where Jupiter keeps the butter? I can't find it." Enceladus asked.

"It should be in the fridge, shouldn't it? Why is mac and cheese so hard to make?" Ganymede grabbed the flathead spoon and shoved it into the pot. "Saturn!" Titan said as he realized that their planets had returned. "What's going on?" Callisto said snickering at Saturn.

Saturn walked over to Titan and happily patted his head. Jupiter quickly put down the bag and walked over to Saturn. "Saturn just needs to sleep is all!" Jupiter placed a hand on him. Titan looked really confused.

"Oh, our planets are here. Is there something wrong with Saturn?" Enceladus looked at him.

"He seems drunk, he probably had too much to drink as always." Callisto crossed his arms, she seemed pretty upset with how late they were. Europa called Titan back over to the table. "Do you want to continue playing?" She asked.

"Not really, we should be heading home right? We were only here due to them needing to go to the meeting." Titan tried to take his twenty from the bowl. Europa quickly pulled the bowl towards herself. It made a soft scrape against the wood. Enceladus scrunched his face at the noise.

"How about you tell me what cards you have?" She said with a snarky tone.

"A pair," Titan grumbled.

"Ha! Three of a kind! Loser!" Europa said, taking his twenty. Titan sighed.

Jupiter quickly guided Saturn to his bedroom, telling him to rest and then shutting the door leaving Saturn within the room. "Okay," Jupiter said, turning around.

Ganymede was there tapping his foot against the ground. "You're an hour late. Saturn is drunk. You look like a mess." Ganymede said with a harsher tone.

"Ganymede, please give me a break for once. I just had a very long emotional night with the other planets." Jupiter softly placed his hands together. Ganymede only shook his head.

"An emotional night?" Ganymede questioned.

"Yeah, a long night, how has everything been?" Jupiter said as he walked over to the kitchen taking over the chaos. "It's been fine." Callisto seemed disappointed.

"I'm sorry that I was late. I'll make you some food and then we can all go to sleep. Titan, can you tell the other moons that Saturn will be staying the night?" Jupiter slowly poured the mac and cheese into the pot.

Titan nodded walking into a different room. "What happened at the meeting?" Europa questioned as she looked within the sun-decorated bag.

"We caught up for the most part. I don't understand why you're so interested. You know for a fact that nothing happened." Jupiter said with a soft tone

Europa looked over at him, shaking her head. "What's in the bag?" She asked

Jupiter looked down at her. "Is it any of your concern? I don't think it is."

Europa looked back. "I don't know why you have an attitude today. Did something happen?" She pried.

IO gently got up and he heard Europa and Jupiter arguing. They always bickered. He looked over and stretched. He smelt the soft burning cheese from the kitchen. He was happy to be soon eating a meal, though that quickly changed.

He felt the sudden pain again. He should be used to it by now. He always hated the winter months. He tried to bring no attention to it. He started to walk to his room, just hoping that it would go away.

Ganymede looked up. He saw IO was struggling to go to his room, and realizing it was about to happen he tugged Jupiter. "What?" He snapped, realizing his tone before calming down.

"It's IO! He's going into an asthmatic attack." Ganymede quickly pointed. IO shook his head. "I'm okay." He managed to form a few words.

Jupiter walked over to him. "Are you sure you are okay? Do you need your inhaler?" Jupiter questioned. IO shook his head grabbing at his wristband.

"I'm okay, I'm sure of it!" He coughed. IO looked over at him. However, he quickly looked away as he didn't want to make eye contact. "How about we do it just in case? Jupiter asked.

"I'm okay!" IO tried to sound more confident. Jupiter nodded understanding walking away back to the kitchen, Europa was tapping her foot impatiently ready to start arguing once more. Ganymede walked over to him confused.

"You started to heave, are you sure you're okay?" Ganymede asked. "I think so, I don't like hearing Europa start arguments so I'm going to go to my room." IO coughed more roughly. He could feel his lungs closing at this point.

"IO, you know something is wrong.." Ganymede was worried. IO quickly collapsed into Ganymede's arms. "Shit," Ganymede said under his breath.

He tried to keep IO steady as Ganymede grabbed his inhaler. He put it to IO's mouth pressing the button. Though no medicine came out of the inhaler, it made a scoff sound.

Ganymede tried not to panic as IO was under for more than a minute. "Jupiter!" Ganymede said harshly, trying to get his attention again. "Ganymede what is it?" Jupiter said as he turned back realizing what had happened.

"Ganymede, can you start the car? Callisto you can finish up dinner! IO can you hear me?" Jupiter quickly walked over taking IO from Ganymede. Ganymede quickly grabbed the keys from the chain and ran outside.

Callisto covered her mouth as she turned away. She always had a hard time looking at IO when he was having an attack.

IO softly opened his eyes. He couldn't speak. It reminded Jupiter of the first time he collapsed. "It's okay, I'm here just try to breathe through your mouth." Jupiter stood IO up.

"My chest hurts. I don't want to be a bother. I just want everyone to be happy." IO thought to himself as he was zoning in and out. He felt himself get put into the front seat. Ganymede said something, though IO couldn't hear it.

The door was shut harshly as Ganymede ran back into the house. Jupiter looked at IO with concern.

Jupiter placed his hand on IO's wrist trying to measure his pulse. "Just try to rest, okay? I'm so sorry I didn't realize it at first." Jupiter sighed.

"Don't apologize." IO wanted to speak it out loud but he only thought about it. He was trying to focus on breathing. IO took a deep breath in and let it out softly.

He felt like there was something embedded in his chest that wasn't allowing him to breathe. He took another deep breath though it felt more shortened. He started to panic, breathing in and out quickly. Jupiter looked down at him. "Try to steady your breathing okay?" He responded to the sudden outburst.

IO felt like he couldn't hear, he tried his best to calm his breathing. He felt his head start to shake, though he wasn't making it move.

"I smelt a faint smell.. It smelled like burning rubber. I don't like that smell. Whenever I smelled it, it made me shake, though I couldn't stop it. My entire body felt like I was in an earthquake." IO closed his eyes. He was thinking harsh things.

"IO!" Jupiter said, clenching his hand.

"I don't remember why Jupiter was yelling my name, I was right there." IO thought to himself. Jupiter placed his hand on IO's chest, attempting to stop the harsh seizing. IO could see him dialing the familiar three numbers.

"Everything aches."

That was the last thing IO thought about before losing consciousness.
