IO shuffled around gently, he felt his back face the cold, he was in bed, right? Why would he be freezing cold? As he opened his eyes, he took a glimpse around. Dizzy and confused he attempted to move his hand to rub his eyes. Though no such action was made it was almost like he was glued to the surface he was on.

IO grunted and shook his head back and forth, removing the jittery feeling he felt. Though as he was now able to see without that nauseating feeling, he saw a doctor, a few! They were.. opening him up. He saw the man in charge, a face he wished to never see again. X, that god-awful ice giant. He saw the mask that was placed over his face, almost like none of them knew he was there, though he lay across that table almost bare. He could barely get a glimpse at the white hospital gown he was in.

He shouldn't be awake for surgery, why couldn't he speak, why couldn't he move? X looked at him and smiled walking over to the table with scrubs on. It was like he was the only one who knew he was awake. He tried to open up his mouth to speak, though his lips only parted almost a centimeter. X only chuckled turning away before turning back to get another glimpse at his surface.

He couldn't see any other face besides X's. They were blurred, almost like they had a weird camera filter on their face. "I didn't expect you to be joining us tonight IO," X said with a soft croak in his throat. He cleared his throat setting up all his tools, from sharp objects to a different assessment of knives. Those weren't doctor tools, it made IO uneasy. How come none of the doctors were responding..

'Where am I?' IO tried to speak once again. Though he only thought about the words he chose. It came out as a murmur, a slight whisper. He grunted at the fact he couldn't speak. X looked down at him, grabbing the flashlight that was attached to his sleeve, and shining it into IO's eyes.

"Mnn.. What was that? We made sure you wouldn't be able to speak in case you woke up. Jupiter asked that of us." X said, explaining to IO. IO seemed a bit delirious. He looked at his exposed chest, the fact he felt like he was slowly coming to a freezing point.

'Jupiter? Jupiter would never.' IO gritted his teeth, once again attempting to speak. Though each attempt failed, X only mocked him by slightly opening his mouth every now and then. IO started to tear up, it was like he was under anesthesia but just not fully.

"You're probably wondering what surgery I will be performing. It's to remove your lungs since you constantly complain about them." X said, putting a hand on his chest, his rubber gloves making a disgusting squeaky sound. IO's eyes opened wide at what he suggested. X grabbed at IO's chest holding a ruler against some of his volcanoes, making it with a sharpie.

'No no.. I need those to breathe! Stop touching me. Get that sharpie away from me.' IO tried to flinch away from X, disliking the cold marker pressed on his chest. X pressed down on IO's chest. The feeling almost made IO lunge forward but still, he remained dormant on the cold metal table.

"I'll draw a few lines right here, my assistant will grab what we call a surface breaker. It'll make a ravine just in the middle of your chest." X grabbed the tool from the assistant nurse, he gripped the light that was shining above IO, shunning it onto his chest. At least he felt a bit warmer, X wasn't that cruel he second-guessed.

'No, please. Don't you dare! You know I'm awake.' IO said looking at the instrument tool X was holding. He blinked rapidly attempting to stop himself from sobbing. X smiled looking at IO's body twitch and reflex. The assistants talked amongst themselves and looked at individual charts of what seemed to be IO's core and inner layers.

"Making an incision now," X said, calling the assistants back to make them watch. IO closed his eyes tight not wanting to watch his chest be cracked open like a pressurized tectonic plate. Though X pressed on his cheek dragging down, making his eyes slightly open. He didn't want to watch but yet the larger Ice giant wanted him to.
