10: Realization

Christian's POV

We took black limousines' to the party, and my parents made Eliza-Ann and I travel together while they took another limo. Amanda was driven to the party with Ivan in a white Ranger Rover. An hour and a half into the party Austin finally shows up, I've had to go around and greet everyone at this party. I noticed a few familiar faces too. I saw Jamelia talking to Ms. Jones, Leon's mother. How does a maid know a woman like Ms. Jones, the way they hugged and spoke it was easy to tell that they were close friends. While going around I also spotted Eric, but I could not pay much attention to him since Father was watching my every move.

"Chirs! I'm bored!" Austin dragged out the end of each word, "Well would you rather take my spot and be on the lookout for my father?" I ask turning from the corner to look back at him, "Ugh! Fine, let's talk about that girl you've been talking to all night" I turn looking at him with a bright smile and probably a light blush. "Her name is Eliza-Ann Harrington, she's the second daughter of the Harrington family. I wasn't really paying attention when the parentals were telling me about her family, but she has gorgeous blue eyes, pretty long blond hair, and the most stunning smile" I gushed about her.

"Ok personally the first problem I see here is the fact she's a girl, the second problem is they are only trying to marry you off. She could be a supermodel you don't love her, plus what about Eric and that kiss?" Austin asks leaning against the wall, "That kiss...I don't have time to think about that right now, plus Eliza seems pretty into me. Maybe we could make something work, even if it's an arranged marriage..." My speech slows as I spot Eric across the room being all over Leon. They looked very close and before I knew it my legs were taking me over to the liquor bar where they stood, "H-Hey" my voice cracked slightly.

They slowly turn to look at me, Leon has a huge smile on his face as he looks between Eric and me, while Eric has a sheepish grin on his face as he scratches the back of his head "Hey there" Eric says in an upbeat tone "Hello!" Leon says stepping back to only watch this encounter. "You two seem really close," I say with more anger than I expected, "Is he your other Jake?" The second I said that Leon stood in front of me, put his hands on my shoulders, and stared straight into my eyes "Hell no, absolutely not, I don't like men...at all. I have a girlfriend, who I love very much...I'm straight!"

My eyes were wide by the time he was done, I was simply shocked because I didn't know he was straight. "Oh-Ohhh I'm sorry, I didn't know that...I didn't mean to assume" As this was happening I heard Eric snickering behind Leon, I leaned my head to the side to look at him and he stopped immediately averting his eyes from mine. Leon then pulls back and glares at him, "Ok ok, Chris let me reintroduce you. Christian this is Leon, my teammate on our college basketball team and my best friend since like...the age of two."

"Oh" I raise my eyebrows "Of course, how did you two meet?" I ask curiously "Well when I was one our mothers met and became best of friends, so we were always together. Actually you've met Leon before, you were about five at the time I think." Eric says rubbing his chin and looking up at the ceiling, "Stop talking about me, why don't you talk about that amazing kiss" Leon says looking at me with a devilish smile and then wandering off. My face was beat red but I brought myself to look up at Eric's face only to see him blushing with a hand covering his mouth whilst looking away.

He was blushing, this was a rare sight! He always had something to say but now he's silent and blushing, over our kiss. "Hey listen, I'm sorry about coming onto like that at the party. I know it's no excuse but I've been told I'm...I'm a horny drunk. This is why I try not to drink too much when I go to parties, I passed out from being so tired from the two games we played earlier in the day. If I wasn't so tired I don't know how far I would taken my drunk habit, once again I'm so sorry I hope I didn't do anything to violate you in any way." I nodded accepting his apology but there were a few things that stood out to me from his apology.
