I shifted in my seat uncomfortably. I had forgotten how quiet Kaiden could be. He didn't even move an inch for the entirety of class and simply had his eyes glued to the bored. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a good student. In fact, I was sure he had straight A's and teachers liked him.
"I'll be handing out a review sheet to everyone. Please complete this with the person next to you and raise your hand if you have any questions. I am always willing to help." the teacher said. "Brian, can you pass these out?" she said to one of the boys.
He was a tall boy who always had friends surrounding him. His hair was a light brown and his eyes were a pretty hazel. He was slim, but he wasn't skinny. Brian had muscles on him instead of a lanky shape. For some reason, Brian and me weren't on good terms. We weren't on any terms at all, but he just seemed to have a hatred towards me. He'd tease me when he could and even made fun of me with his friends. I usually tried to not let it get to me.
"Sure." Brian said. He took the papers in his hands and passed them down, row by row. But when he got to me, he paused and cheekily smirked.
"Hey midget." he teased. "Can you even see me with all that fucking hair? You like a pig."
I clenched my fists and looked down, not bothering to say anything. I didn't want a fight and I didn't want anyone to hate me. I didn't have enough self esteem to even stand up for myself. That just shows how uselessly weak I was.
"Dammit, speak the fuck up will you?" Brian growled. Brian slammed a paper down on my desk and crumbled it. He spit directly onto it and smirked when he saw me open my mouth at the slightest inch.
"W-why would you.." I trailed off and snapped my mouth shut.
"Why would I what, bitch?"
I could feel him looking down at me, waiting for an answer. I didn't know what to say.
Why was he so rude? Why did he target me of all people?
"I—"
"Don't be a fucking dick." Kaiden suddenly jumped in. I flinched at the sound of his voice.
"What the fuck did you just say?" Brian asked, giving Kaiden a wild look. One he met Kaiden's dark eyes, he is mouth opened the slightest inch to say something, but he quickly shut it. Maybe he realized that Kaiden wouldn't be a good person to mess around with. Although, he should've noticed before. Their differences in size and appearance were far from each other. You could assume who was clearly winning.
