I let Kaiden drag me around, almost tripping over my own legs. He had longer legs than me, so he walked faster. A bit too fast for me.
"S-slow down a bit!" I exclaimed. I tried keeping up with his pace as he walked through the crowd. We had left the secluded section of the mall and were back to where all the shops were. There was still no sight of Marion, Delphine, Kuro or James. I was glad.. I didn't want to be caught dead with Kaiden, who was know considered "popular" at our school, dragging me around.
Not to mention, but if James or Kuro found out Kaiden made the claim, I would die of embarrassment. I was sure they would judge me.
"Don't ever steal something again. Ask me to buy you it." Kaiden said out of nowhere. Gosh, I was so embarrassed. I got caught stealing by someone who I didn't want to be caught dead with. I thought I did everything perfectly.. and I know it was wrong, but I needed clothes. I needed something to wear so I didn't have to walk around in a pair of unwashed clothes for another week. I could feel my face heating up realizing that he had literally caught me doing a crime.

"Why're you here at the mall, Kaiden?" I asked.
"To shop. What else?"
I felt my face heating up. "R-right.."
"What about you?" Kaiden asked, glancing back at me for a second. I could still hear him despite the noisy crowd.
"I c-came here with friends, but I lost them.."
He didn't say anything and just continued walking. I had no idea where we were going or why. Kaiden was confusing and I had stopped guessing his thoughts ages ago.
As we walked, I couldn't help but peak at him. I couldn't help myself— he was too handsome for his own good. I wouldn't doubt if he had a girlfriend before with those sharp but soft looks. Sure, he looked a bit intimidating, but the more you stared at him the more you noticed little things that are so beautiful. I wondered if it was possible for someone to think of me like this. But there was no way. My face was the ugliest thing known to mankind.
I glanced at Kaiden's eyes. Instead of seeing his dark iris's, there was a glint of red replacing the black. It looked the same as that time when he had licked a bit of my blood.
"K-Kaiden what's wrong with your eyes?" I found the courage to ask. He tensed up a bit.
