Illaria Point of View
I'm sitting on the position of a chairperson of one of the biggest business empires of the world, this means I have some special insights and observation skills.
And my instincts, which had mostly been right in several cases, is telling me that something is different in the air.
I can tell that something stealthy and covetous is going around me but I'm unable to find what and who it is.
But one thing is for sure, somehow and for some odd reason, disco ball is surely linked to it. Directly or indirectly, he is.
Since the afternoon, when he suddenly told me about how he sinned by spoiling his own beauty, I could tell he was using a cover up.
Not to mention, the remnants of a fierce aura was still around him and could be seen in his eyes although he tried to brush it away with his silly words and actions.
"I checked everything, Ms. Allard. I did not find anything suspicious or odd." Lyra reported. I nodded slightly and excused her to join in the fun going on around.
Lyra may not be very experienced like Asmund but she is more meticulous than him when performing tasks. Since she said everything looks find, I can only keep an eye around just in case.
It still couldn't let this strange feeling go. In that case, I should be vigilant.
I looked everyone who is sitting around the bonfire and playing some fun games and among them is person who, for the first time, aroused a sense of suspicion on him since the day we met.
Uno Disco Ball Mayhem.
I studied him silently and noticed that he is having a great time, enjoying himself to the fullest and appearing as normal as he always has been.
Was I being paranoid?
Not putting my doubts away completely away, I decided to observe everyone silently without making it too obvious.
"Has the treasure hunt game come to an end?" I asked, sitting casually with everyone around the bonfire.
"The game is postponed to tomorrow morning, Ms. Allard." Lyra informed be on behalf of everyone.
Postponed?
I've been thinking too deeply about the abnormalities around me that I didn't even realize the scheduled activities has been postponed.
"Why so?"
"The weather forecast in the app notified that there might be possibilities of rain from evening to early hours of tomorrow morning." Rain forecast?
I pulled my phone out, opened the weather app and scrolled to the hourly forecast page. It showed that the weather is slightly cloudy and sometimes the sky is clear but there is nothing about rain or any signs of any extreme weather change.
To be sure of it, I refreshed the app for a couple of times and saw the same result displayed.
"There's no sign of rain for the next six days in this region. Which app are you all following?" I asked with a slight frown.
Everyone looked at each other and then opened their own phones to check their weather apps again.
"But there is rain forecast for the whole night showing on the app, ma'am." The planning manager spoke as he checked others phones as well.
He confirmed that everyone's app is showing the same forecast as well.
Um? What is going on here?
Either my app is wrong or theirs. But everyone is using the same app which is developed by Allard company.
