Part 10 The Dating Game

MyaPOV

A few months had gone by since Matt and I started dating. We were on date, walking in the park holding hands. I felt really happy being with Matt, like we were meant to be together. But I had a secret that was making me feel guilty. I still hadn't talked to Matt about the night of the fight and how me and Chris had revealed feelings for eachother and I knew that keeping secrets from him wasn't the best idea. I stopped walking pulling him by his arm to face me. With a deep breath, I confessed that I had told Chris I liked him on the same day Matt and I started dating. There was a tense silence, but then Matt squeezed my hand gently and thanked me for being honest. I felt relieved and guilty at the same time. But at least he understood even though he felt off the rest of the night.

Matt's POV:

Entering the house, Tired and confused. I said Goodnight to Mya, as she disappeared downstairs for a shower in Chris's room. I took off my shoes and went upstairs to Nick's room. I was expecting just Nick to be up there but as I opened the door, I saw Chris sitting on the bed with Nick watching a movie. All my built-up anger from the news Mya had shared was unleashed from me. "What the heck is going on?" I demanded. But before either of them could respond, I continued. "You spilled your feelings for Mya the same day we started dating, didn't you?" I accused Chris, my words dripping with anger. His response was swift and harsh.

"Yeah, I did! And what are you going to do about it?" Chris shot back, his eyes blazing with defiance. Anger surged through me like a wildfire, and before I could stop myself, I lunged forward, fists clenched.

"You think you're better than me, huh?" I roared, my voice trembling with fury. "You've always been trying to one-up me, haven't you?"

Chris met my charge head-on, fists flying as We tackled to the floor Nick's voice echoed in the background

'Stop both of you". But we didn't listen I heard the door close from behind me and Chris. As I turned around I saw Mya standing there In shock. What have I done?
