The United Kingdoms of Auradon was a country of light

The United Kingdoms of Auradon was a country of light. A great shining sun spotlighted its central city as the surrounding kingdoms lapped up its residual rays, none more so than that of The Borderlands. The southernmost kingdom of Auradon, past the Isle of the Lost, was one of the last to join the collaboration, and as the last kingdom it differed from those above it. With a direct line to History Island and onto Auradon Central, the kingdom housed a wild 'royal' family. Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle, Duke of Auradon and his wife Duchess Jane Porter were not proper royals, for no one truly ruled over the animal factions of the jungle; rather they were given the latter honorary title by Jane's own cousin, Belle, Queen of Auradon.

Whilst the small villages across the jungle housed many animal families, no village housed more than Greystoke City. With its small province of Janestown and Kerchak Crest, its people were prosperous with trades throughout the kingdom. The people were kind and generous, only taking from the earth what was necessary and never more, giving back to nature by replanting trees and their seasonal rituals.

In the absence of a castle, a great treehouse sat in the centre of The Jungle, with not a room unused. The treehouse had the royal necessities ordered by King Adam and Queen Belle to be built, such as a throne room and royal meeting room, both being used as common rooms for the majority of the year - Tarzan and Jane Porter were never ones to sit upon a throne and give orders.

Valiant and true, Lord Tarzan along with many more animals would congress and sit upon a council to dictate the laws by which their kingdom was run. It was never much surprise when the Porters were selected as the Borderlands representative upon the Auradon Council, due to their familial relations, but it was widely known that Mrs Jane Porter was a just communicator through and through.

However, this story isn't about the past, not about King Adam's laws nor the Porter family's role in society. Rather about a group of kids, a new generation ready to change the laws of Auradon, forever.

Minerva Porter was a girl of two worlds. The blend between her mother's sophisticated society and her father's animalistic attributes created nothing less than a rambunctious, yet charismatic young lady, a term she wished not to associate with. Whilst Jungle life was all she could want, there weren't many human children her age besides her younger brother and he much preferred the sea over the high treetops - something Minnie was terrified of.

However, there was one young boy she would spend her summers with in a great glistening castle just beyond the Isle: The future, King Ben Florian Lowell of Auradon. The young boy she was on her way to spend the entire school year with, on her first day at Auradon Prep.

In her bedroom, up way high in their treehouse, a shaggy-haired teenager stuffed her most important belongings in an already bulging suitcase. She knew not what clothes she should pack, what trinkets to decorate her room with nor how many books to bring (she had eventually narrowed that down to her best 10,) but that didn't wipe away the huge smile plastered across her face.
