The moment Audrey and Minnie left Ben's room an electrifying tyrant started ablaze within. King Adam was certainly one to hide his beastly nature in front of his public; 'Be proud of where you started' he would preach but the man never started as a beast, but rather as an oppressor of great misery.

"I refuse to allow this Ben." He stood his ground, staring down at his son like prey waiting to be hunted. He often looked at his son this way, the same way his own father looked upon him before he became King.

Ben huffed and warned his father with a low growl, "Dad." But he continued, pacing around on the embroidered tapestry that lay across his floor.

"Her father is a creature of inhuman-" He started, interrupted by the young Prince who caught his piercing eye.

"And her mom is your wife's cousin and best friend. Minnie is mine."

Adam reflected, taken aback by his son's defiance. He truly detested the Lord of the Jungle, whilst he reverted from his own beastly ways, the jungle man revelled in his. The young girl reminded him of Tarzan too much for his own liking, Chak he had no true opinion on, perhaps because they hadn't interacted as much, perhaps because he simply didn't care about the second-born; Ben didn't have siblings for a reason.

"She is not princess material Ben." He reasoned, disliking the idea he had to bargain with his own kin. Ben thought the same. "This isn't just something to give out to your friends, this is the person who will rule this Kingdom in your absence."

With pleading green eyes, Ben argued, "I know and I'll teach her how to."

Like the teenager he was talking to, the King huffed, throwing his head high in the air, "You expect her to protect our country?"

"From what?!" Ben shouted, for the first time in the altercation.

The King had an answer, an answer that he was begging to retort with since he had heard about it 5 minutes ago. "The children you insist on bringing over to ruin the sanctity of our lives."

Ben calmed himself, turning away from his fiery father, telling himself not to give in to his beastly ways, "I have made my decision Dad. Minnie will be Princess of Auradon, Protector of the Realm." He paused, a realisation slapping him in the face "If she accepts."

"Let's hope she doesn't." The King spoke the last words on the matter before exiting not through the clear double doors but the wooden door on the opposite side of the room for the Jungle girl still sat amongst the dirt and leaves.

Not a minute passed before the young girl slipped through the glass doors back to her cousin who was fiddling with a small box at his dresser.

"Finally he's gone." She huffed before slumping down onto his bed, which was beyond messy by now. It wasn't a secret that Adam's feelings towards Minnie were reciprocated by the girl. Ben took a deep breath, tightening his hand around the small box before turning around, a bright smile on his face.
