It's about five-thirty when he arrives at campus. He walks to the nearest convenience store, already thinking about all the yummy food he can get.
Stepping into the seven eleven, he immediately headed to his favorite aisle; the ramen isle.
And at that moment, he wishes he didn't. Because why the fuck is Yoongi there?
Right now, he doesn't want to confront anyone. So he thinks about running away. But then, he decides against it. He needs his ramen.
He's just going to hide in a random aisle until Yoongi leaves, how hard can that be?
"Jimin?"
Well.
Something inside of Jimin tells him to run, but he doesn't. Instead, he turns around and faces Yoongi. "Hi,"
"What're you doing here?" Yoongi asks, taking a few steps closer to Jimin.
"The same thing you're doing," Jimin answers, pointing at Yoongi's basket full of ramen.
"That's a lot of ramen," he speaks his mind.
"Yeah, I'm quite hungry. And I can always keep it for later." Yoongi shrugs.
Jimin hums and looks around for a ramen to buy. Why is this so awkward again?
"Which one are you getting?"
"Oh, uhm, I'm not sure yet. Do you recommend anything?" Jimin asks, not sure what the fuck is this conversation and why is he totally chill with Yoongi today.
"Uhh," Yoongi starts fumbling with all the different types of ramen he has in his basket, looking for something that could essentially interest Jimin.
"Forget it, I'll just get this," Jimin interrupts, picking a random pack of ramen he hasn't even seen before. He just wants this interaction to end for fuck's sake.
They stand in awkward silence at the cashier, patiently waiting for the person in front of them to finish checking out.
"Did he buy the entire store?" Jimin says in a whisper, clearly already bored. Yoongi let's out a quiet chuckle. "And if he hears you," he whispers back.
"He can kiss my ass," Jimin says in a louder tone, just in case the man didn't hear the first time, he hears this one. Yoongi is definitely acting like he doesn't know him. "Bitch," Jimin mumbles.
"We're not together," Yoongi smiles awkwardly to the cashier who just smiled back in response. "I don't know him,"
"I don't think he believes you," Jimin says.
"Shut up," Yoongi mumbles.
"Anything else?"
"No, that's it."
"Alright, that'll be $20.87,"
After Yoongi pays the said amount, it's Jimin's turn to check out.
"$1.70,"
Jimin sticks his hand in his pocket to take out his wallet to pay, but there's nothing there. He clears his throat and looks at the cashier, then to Yoongi.
"You know what? I'm not that hungry actually. Let's go Yoongi!" Jimin leaves the pack of ramen behind and starts pushing Yoongi out of the store.
The cashier sighs. "Next!"
"What was that?" Yoongi chuckles once they're far enough from the store.
"I left my wallet in Jungkook's car," Jimin says in a quiet voice. He'd already embarrassed himself enough.
"And where is that?"
"I don't know, a random amusement park. We went there together but I left because I absolutely hate roller coasters. I mean, we have been friends for years; you'd think they'd know that, but no! 'Let's go ride the roller coaster, Jimin!', 'you're going to have so much fun', they said." At this point, Jimin is rambling. One thing for sure, he's now in a bad mood. He was looking forward to a decent ramen meal.
By the time Jimin's done with his rant, Yoongi's already laughing uncontrollably. Which makes Jimin shut up and roll his eyes.
"How'd you come back here?" Yoongi asks once he's calmed down a bit.
"I gave the last few dollars I had in my pocket to the taxi,"
"Nice work," Yoongi says sarcastically, which results in Jimin punching his side.
"Oooh, strong," Yoongi teases.
"Did you walk or drive here?" Jimin asks, ignoring Yoongi's remark. He kind of wishes Yoongi drove here so he doesn't have to walk all this distance with his beloved enemy in this weather.
"Walk,"
"Great work," Jimin mocks him. "It's so chilly," he adds, rubbing his arms as if he's going to make it warmer for himself. Even though he brought a jacket like Taehyung told him, it's still a little cold.
"I'm came prepared," Yoongi, who is wearing a coat, says as if rubbing it in Jimin's face. "But I see you tried. Wearing the jacket I gave you the other day," he smirks.
Jimin's eyes slowly widen as he realizes he's actually wearing Yoongi's jacket... in front of Yoongi.
Nice.
"Don't be too embarrassed now, babe," Yoongi teases when he sees Jimin's cheeks heat up.
This is extremely embarrassing.
"It was the only summer jacket I found!" Jimin almost wants to strangle Yoongi so there's no proof of his lacking moment to anyone. But he decides to be a good person and only kick his shin.
"Ow! Fuck you,"
Jimin smiles sarcastically and continues walking, leaving Yoongi behind.
Yoongi rubs his shin and decides to man up. It doesn't hurt that much anyway. He catches up to Jimin, and he's almost tempted to push him in front of a car and call it a day. But he's too nice for this shit.
"Have fun finding someone else who's willing to share their ramen with you," Yoongi smirks and skips ahead of Jimin.
It's Jimin's turn to catch up to Yoongi. "Wait, seriously? Were you going to share?"
"Well, not anymore," Yoongi shrugs.
"No, please, I'm going to statve to death."
"What'd you say?"
"I'm going to starve to death?"
"No, the other one."
"Please?"
"Oh my god, your first nice word. Good job! I was starting to think you can never be polite." Yoongi laughs when Jimin rolls his eyes.
"Fuck yourself,"
And that's how they ended up in Yoongi's shared room, waiting for their ramen to cook.
