Yoongi's breath is barely there, shallow and anxious as he creeps through the darkened apartment. The silence hums in his ears, amplifying every creak of the floorboards underfoot. His hand reaches for the edge of the laptop, smooth and cold beneath his fingertips. He hesitates.

Was Jimin still in the kitchen?

It doesn't matter. He can't wait any longer. He clutches the laptop to his chest, tiptoeing out of the living room, careful to avoid the spots where he knows the floor groans the loudest. The door to his bedroom swings open with a soft creak, and Yoongi slips inside, closing it with a faint click.

He collapses onto the bed, his heart racing. He shouldn't be this nervous. It's not like he's doing anything wrong...right? Still, he fumbles with the laptop, his fingers clumsy in the quiet, heart thundering in his chest. The screen flickers to life, casting a faint glow across his face as he hurriedly connects his Air Pods. His ears are filled with the sound almost immediately, drowning out the restless silence around him.

He leans back against the pillows, the brightness of the screen pulling him in, his eyes wide and focused. He's never done this with Jimin in the house before. It's a risk—a dangerous one. But Yoongi has always been careful, secretive, never letting Jimin catch on. He just couldn't help himself tonight.

He's so lost in it that he doesn't hear the door open. Doesn't hear the soft shuffle of footsteps behind him.

Then, suddenly, a hand touches his shoulder.

Yoongi flinches, the jolt so violent the laptop slips from his lap and crashes to the floor. His breath catches, the world tipping on its axis as his gaze shoots up, eyes wide and panicked. His heart stops.

Jimin is standing there, a smirk playing on his lips, amusement twinkling in his eyes. "Really?" he teases, voice soft with laughter. "You think I haven't noticed?"

Yoongi stares, frozen in place. "Noticed what?" he stammers, cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Jimin crosses his arms, cocking his head. "You, watching my dance performances every day. Smiling like an idiot." He raises an eyebrow, the teasing smile never faltering. "I thought it was cute."

Yoongi's face heats up. "I-I wasn't—"

But Jimin just shakes his head, laughing. "You're not as sneaky as you think, hyung."

Let me fill you up with what happened the last month. Jimin and Taehyung were supposed to move out of this apartment, Taehyung moving next door to live with Jungkook and Jimin moving to Seoul. But when Yoongi showed up, plans changed. Taehyung still moved out to live with Jungkook in the neighboring apartment, but Jimin decided to stay, refusing to lose Yoongi again. Instead, he insisted Yoongi moves in with him, claiming it would be almost surreal. At first, Yoongi refused and said that he already shares a small house with Namjoon, and he wouldn't want to burden Jimin, but after a little contemplating (and a lot of nagging from Jimin), he finally gave in, the idea of waking up with Jimin there every day exciting him.

The same day Yoongi moved out Namjoon's house, Jin moved in. Namjoon was a little hesitant about letting Yoongi go, but the latter promised to visit and work on music every day, except for weekends. So, Namjoon had no choice but to let Yoongi do whatever he wanted. Seokjin on the other hand was over the moon to finally be able to move in with Namjoon. He sold his old shabby house and bought all types of decorations and plants for Namjoon's house, claiming it lacked luster. And if you're wondering where Hoseok is, well, he's married now. He found a beautiful girl who shared his interests and fits his standards, and instantly proposed. Yoongi, Namjoon and Seokjin would always tease them about how they're practically made for each other, a match made in heaven. Despite Hoseok having his own house and wife, the four of them were still inseparable, as this was the only condition they had for Hoseok when he got married.

Jimin is doing so much better with Yoongi here with him. It took Jimin a bit to get used to coming home to Yoongi and not Taehyung, but he wasn't complaining. It was honestly all he ever wished for. Jimin comes back from work every day at six in the evening, and he'd arrive home to the sight of Yoongi already home, cooking them both dinner. Except for Fridays, he arrives earlier than Yoongi and he becomes the cook that day. And on weekends, when none of them have work, they'd either spend the day home watching a movie or baking, or out on little dates having dinner and doing all sorts of activities. All in all, asking Yoongi to live with him was the best decision of Jimin's life. Both of them are exceeding at their job.

And as for Jimin's confidence and mental health, it's at its peak. And ever since Yoongi moved in, he's been much better, if that's even possible. It took Jimin a lot of effort, and a long, long time (and a very gorgeous human being called Yoongi) to realize his worth and find his spark and confidence.

Self-love is a journey, not a destination. It's waking up every day and choosing to be kind to yourself, despite the voices in your head that scream otherwise. It's accepting that you are a work in progress, beautifully unfinished, but still worthy of love and grace.

Too often, we fall into the trap of comparison, measuring our worth against the carefully curated images of others. We look at their successes, their confidence, their seemingly flawless lives, and we feel small, inadequate, less than. But that's a lie. What we fail to see is that everyone is fighting their own battles, facing their own fears, just like you.

Instead of focusing on what you lack, turn your attention inward. Look at how far you've come, the strength you've shown, the resilience in your heart. Stop punishing yourself for not being perfect—no one is. Start celebrating who you are, the unique beauty that only you possess.

Embrace your flaws, not as burdens, but as opportunities for growth. Don't waste your time yearning to be someone else. Invest that time in becoming the best version of yourself. Self-love is not selfish; it's necessary. You deserve your own kindness. You deserve to love yourself just as fiercely as you love others.

The strongest human emotion is want and need, so put it to use and get it on your side, not against you.

And these are the words Jimin lives by every day.

"Hey, Jimin?"

"Mhm?"

"Wanna work with me on a song? I make the song, you dance,"

Jimin smiles.
