Chapter LXII: Caught in the Act

        Kota sinks into the plush cushions of his chair, his fingers dancing across the keys of his laptop as he loses himself in the world of music. The soothing melodies wash over him, calming his mind and easing the tension that lingers in his muscles.

         But just as he begins to relax, the familiar ping of a chat notification interrupts his reverie, pulling him back to reality. With a sigh, he shifts his attention to the screen, his curiosity piqued as he sees Eloise's name flashing on the display.

"Hey Kota! How's it going?" Eloise's message reads, her words filled with warmth and enthusiasm.

         Kota's lips twitch into a smile as he reads her message, his heart skipping a beat at the sight of her name. Despite his initial reluctance, he can't help but feel a sense of excitement at the prospect of spending time with her.

"Hey Eloise! I'm just chilling out at home, listening to some music," he replies, his fingers flying across the keyboard.

"What's up?"

        As their conversation unfolds, Eloise wastes no time in getting to the point, her message filled with an invitation for a hangout. Kota's heart races at the suggestion, his mind whirling with conflicting emotions.

"I don't know, Eloise. I'm feeling pretty lazy today," Kota admits, his fingers hesitating over the keys.

"I'm not sure if I want to go out."

        But Eloise isn't so easily deterred, her persuasive words filling the chat window as she tries to tempt him with promises of fun and excitement. Despite his reservations, Kota can't help but feel a sense of guilt nagging at the back of his mind, a reminder of the commitment he's made to Akiko.

"I don't know, Eloise. I feel kind of bad about Akiko," Kota confesses, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

       But Eloise is relentless in her pursuit, her words laced with charm and persuasion as she tries to win him over. And despite his better judgment, Kota finds himself succumbing to her charms, his resolve crumbling in the face of her unwavering determination.

       With a heavy sigh, Kota finally relents, his fingers flying across the keyboard as he agrees to Eloise's invitation. Despite the guilt that weighs heavy on his heart, he can't shake the sense of excitement that bubbles within him, the prospect of spending time with Eloise proving too tempting to resist.
