Hamilton React to Hamilton + Other Stuff

Intro

Hello my peeps!

I have finally found the time to make a Hamilton react fic

A little late to the party, I know, I'm writing this in 2024 after all

But oh well, I like Hamilton and only found out about it in probably January (sad I know)

So I'm writing it now

Like I said in the description for this fanfic: this is a historical one and I'm going all out to make it as close to what actually was going on in that time as possible. If you don't want to read that then I suggest you find another fanfic

Anyway! Characters/names I will call the characters are:

Alexander Hamilton (duh) - Alex

John Laurens - John

Lafayette - Laf

Hercules Mulligan - Herc

Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton - Eliza

Angelica Schuyler Church - Angelica

Peggy Schuyler - Peggy

Maria Reynolds/Lewis (we hate James) - Maria

Aaron Burr - Aaron

Theodosia Bartow Prevost - Theodosia

Thomas Jefferson - Thomas

James Madison - James

George Washington - George

Martha Washington (named her feral tomcat after him) - Martha

Philip Hamilton - Philip or Pip

Angelica Hamilton - Angie

Theodosia Burr - Theo Jr.

Georges Lafayette - Georgie

King George III - KG3/KGIII

Now like I said; this is historical, if you haven't left by now that's your own fault. Since this is historical I'm including things like: 

Angelica Hamilton going mad

Eliza never forgiving Burr for shooting Alexander (at least at the start of the story)

The King having porphyria (fun fact: King George wasn't actually mad at first he was just had a sickness that they didn't know of at the time that causes confusion and hallucination so they thought he had gone mad but he was actually just sick. Although he was slightly mad later but for a different reason, he went mad later because his favourite(jees dude really you have favourites?) daughter Princess Amelia died and he went crazy)

The King spitting everywhere when he talks

The King ending every sentence with the word peacock (which he did even before the sickness and madness. Bro was just all around a really crazy dude)

John and Laf being major abolitionists (yeah, Laf was actually a huge abolitionist too, just not quite as much as John and not until a little later) 

Herc never meeting Laf or John (he did meet and actually live with Alexander for a bit though)

Laf not having poor english (I know lots of people put those in their fanfics because of the line in 'my shot' but there's a reason Lin wrote it that way and then had him rapping faster than the speed of light later. It's because at the time when 'my shot' took place (so 1776) Laf didn't know a lot of english but he was fluent by 1777, which is why he sings so fast in 'guns and ships' which would have taken place somewhere around 1781-1782 so he was more than fluent by then)

I think that's all, sorry for the huge rants, I love history lol

So that I don't have to explain next chapter, basically I'm taking all the characters from about the time when they died

When I say 'about' I can't really explain it so I'll give an example

I won't take Alexander from right after he died, back in New York at home, but rather right after he got shot by Burr (cause he didn't die till the next day) 

So seeing as they are all going to be different ages I'm going to make them physically younger (mostly for Eliza, cause dang she lived till 97)

Everybody except for John, Pip, Theo Jr., Georgie and Angie will be younger-fied (I can't come up with a better word for it) to John's age when he died (so 27)

And everyone else (Theo, Georgie and Angie) will be younger-fied down to Philip's age when he died (so 19)

I know that makes them only 8 years apart physically but not mentally, so it's fine

Also this is fanfic and I do what I want

So Angie won't stay crazy after she sees Philip again (I know that's not how that works, but, fanfic. I do whatever. And cause my heart can't take it)

I also know some people change the songs to be lams, which I adore, but I'm getting them to react to the original songs first. I'll play cut songs after but I won't do lams version of helpless for example. Why? Cause I made a whole other fanfic with lams-ified songs which you can read (please I get like no reads)
