~BEFORE THE GRAND MAUSOLEUM'S BATTLE~

[Xie Lian's POV]

"Ling Wen, I have a favor to ask of you."

"Yes, what is it, your Highness?"

"Can you give me every information about every single cultivator involve right no—"

The communication was suddenly cut off. A long buzz followed after two *beep beep*. Xie Lian contemplated whether to just let it be and thought it was just some sort of malfunction or the heavens encountered some problem, more like they're being attacked. Well, for thousand long years, the communication array never had this kind of problem. It's possible that something happened in Heavens.

Without second thoughts, Xie Lian went to Heavens. He hoped that it was just some sort of malfunction or miscommunication. However, the moment he stepped at Heavens piazzo, he felt the same overbearing pure spiritual energy. Only one person had this kind of energy and he knew it belongs to the former Martial Emperor, Jun Wu.

"Rouye." He raised his guard for any surprise attack. He should've brought someone with him. He heard the loud wails from the inner palaces. He tightened his grip over Fang Xin as he stepped into the main palaces.

"Do not!" He stopped. He heard Feng Xin's voice as if commanding him not to step any further.

"Such a wonderful day.... I missed you so much... Xian Le."

Xie Lian's world came to a screeching halt. It felt like a bucket of ice was dump on him. His raised his head slowly and made vision with the stunningly crowned former Martial Emperor. He couldn't believe his eyes. After all, Jun Wu is Bai Wuxiang's other personality. The energy the man in front of him exudes were pure and natural. It wasn't the same tainted energy of Bai Wuxiang.

"This is the first time I've seen you with such expression Xian Le." It was like his breathing stopped and nothing could be heard, and he remained dazed for a good while. It was only after some time before he realized something wrong. He stepped back. Without spiritual powers he's sure be defeated. Jun Wu's signature gentle smile almost fooled him.

"So good to see you with that kind of expression Xia Le." The way Jun Wu talked it was if he still own the Heavenly Palace. He lazily sat on his throne and waved his hand off. Suddenly, a strong spiritual energy pinned every god's down on the ground. Even he was not spared. Xie Lian had fallen on his knees.

The picture they created was that of pheasants kneeling before their lord.

"So? What did you come here for looking like that?" He asked. However, Jun Wu just gave him an indifferent expression and lazily straightened his back, "I have two answers for that, I am here as Martial Emperor and I separated from Bai Wuxiang."

Xie Lian dumbfoundedly stared at him for a while. He carefully warpped his brain with countless conclusions, if not for Jun Wu showing him memories of him and Bai Wuxiang separating as an entity. It took him by surprise. He couldn't even utter a single word to describe his thoughts. One thing is for sure, this is a real problem. Fighting Bai Wuxiang, the eldest, oldest grand ghost kind is too much, how much more fighting the martial Emperor, the strongest, mightiest and most powerful god in the heaven's. Even Xie Lian would fight him head on, he knew he would squirm his way out for victory—especially now that his spiritual energy and luck are sealed, there's no way to worm his way out of here.

"Then... If that is true, are you here for revenge?" Argh! Don't ask the obvious question! He wanted to smack his self and play dead for a while.

With this person's disappearance, it was like the entire heavens have fallen and even when everything had cleared and his betrayal, still, this person had the most devotees.
