Declan Rogers had been a steadfast servant to the Romeros for decades, witnessing their triumphs and tribulations, and witnessed Alex evolve from a child into a formidable business mogul. Now entrusted with monitoring Alex's activities for Eleanor Romero, he discreetly trailed Alex's car, his keen eyes noting the unfamiliar route they embarked upon.

As Alex stopped in front of a modest house in an unfamiliar neighborhood, Declan's curiosity piqued.

He observed with a keen eye as Alex urgently knocked on the door, prompting the woman inside to answer with evident distress. With a sense of urgency, Alex pushed his way inside, leaving the woman to reluctantly close the door behind him.

Crossing the street casually, Declan feigned a phone call, positioning himself near the house to discreetly observe the unfolding scene.

Through the sheer curtains, he witnessed the escalating tension between Alex and the woman, culminating in a painful slap delivered by the woman to Alex's surprise.

"What did you do for her to be so angry with you, Alex?" Under his breath, Declan pondered the cause of the woman's ire towards Alex.

Before the situation could escalate further, Declan retreated to his car. As he drove back to the mansion, his mind raced with thoughts of how best to convey this unexpected turn of events to Eleanor Romero.

Returning to the mansion, Declan found Eleanor immersed in the company of guests, her laughter echoing through the opulent halls.

"Declan, you're back early today. Sit, join us. How's Alex?" Eleanor inquired, her concern evident as she took a sip of her tea, momentarily pausing the festivities to seek news of her grandson.

"He's well, ma'am. But something seemed amiss this morning," Declan replied, guiding Eleanor to a quieter room before divulging the details of Alex's unexpected encounter.

"It's about a woman. He visited her home and I heard arguments inside. He looked so anxious after he left." He added.

Eleanor's brow furrowed with concern at the mention of a mysterious woman. "Could it be Rebecca? But wasn't she away on a business trip with her father?" she pondered aloud.

"No, ma'am. This woman was a stranger to me, an attractive blonde," Declan clarified, noting Eleanor's growing interest in unraveling the mystery.

"Declan, I want you to gather information on this woman—her name, residence, anything you can find. I want to understand her connection to Alex," Eleanor commanded, her curiosity piqued by the sudden appearance of this enigmatic figure in her grandson's life.

"Yes, ma'am," Declan affirmed, prepared to delve into the depths of secrecy to uncover the truth behind Alex's unexpected visit.

Dusk is now looming over as the hues of purples, red, and orange painted the skies. Carefully holding the folder containing Norma Louise Bates' information, Declan made his way to Eleanor's quarters, anticipation building with each step. Knocking softly, he entered to find Eleanor seated, awaiting his report.

"Here it is, ma'am," Declan offered, presenting the folder with a respectful nod.

"Declan, we've known each other for ages. Drop the formalities, please. Call me Eleanor," she insisted, her warm smile inviting him to relax as she accepted the folder.

Eleanor meticulously studied the contents of the file, absorbing every detail about this woman. It turns out the woman's name is Norma Louise Bates; she is 33 years old, with blonde hair, and ocean-blue eyes and she lives alone. She works at the bar, too, as a waitress.

As she traced the lines of Norma's photograph, Eleanor couldn't deny the woman's striking beauty.

"Declan, what are your thoughts on this Norma?" Eleanor inquired, her gaze penetrating as she sought his perspective.
