His eyes were full with remorse and regret. He took a deep breath and sighed deeply. " Because...I-I-I think I've, y'know...! fallen for you Chloe. Ever since the first day we met, I felt a spark".
I stood still, trying to process what he just said. Did he just say what I think he said??
Does he mean it? Should I believe him?!!!
I couldn't contain my excitement, in my head of course!
In the physical, I just kept looking at him quietly.
But in my mind, I was all: OMG!! OMG!! OMG!!
Ryan just professed his love for ME!!!
This feels too good to be true!!

"What do you have to say about that?" Ryan asked, with an anticipated look. He was literally dreading my response.
"Umm, I-I-I, don't know..." I stammered.
"You don't know?" He said with a look of disappoinment.
I felt so sorry for him! He looked so innocent!!
" Honestly, I feel the same way Ryan. But after what I saw the other day, I'm not so sure".
"I understand. It's fine" He turned to leave in disappointment, but I stopped him.
"I do like you Ryan!"
"Yeah, but you're not sure because you don't trust me!"
"No! I do".
I just said that out of the spur of the moment!
"If you do, then do you want to be my girlfriend?"
"Sure" I blushed a little, but he didn't blush at all.

"Oh, one more thing. Please don't tell anyone about us".

"Because I'm the president of the students' council, so I'm really famous at this school. I don't want us to be the center of attention, because people will definitely gossip. So, let's keep this between us. Please, for me" He looked into my eyes cutely and I couldn't resist!
" Fine".
" Thanks"
He just walked away without saying anything else.
He didn't even give me a hug!
Oh well. I guess it's because we just made things official 🤷
But the most intriguing question here is why doesn't Ryan want me to tell anyone about us?
Is he ashamed of me?
I'm sure he doesn't want to introduce the nerdy lunch swimmer to his CCP friends. He probably thinks he's reputation would be ruined because of me.
Maybe I'm just overthinking this.
To make matters worse, when I got home this afternoon, dad asked me to babysit Joey the brat! Mom asked dad to watch Joey before she went for her book club sesh, but dad needed to go golfing with The Guys, so he just dumped Joey with ME!
How rude?!
"Dad, that's really irresponsible! I'm ashamed to call you my dad. I didn't expect this from you!"
But I just said all that inside my head, so no one else heard it but ME!
I HATE, HATE, HATE babysitting Joey!

This kid needs extreme therapy!
Someday, I will put Joey in a box, and ship him to Florida😤.
