"I don't know where the hell I went wrong with this kickback. I thought everything was gonna be cool but I should've known Dell was going to be petty."
"It's not your fault sis. You can't see the future but I had a good time. I think chanel did too." Mj said.
"Speaking of your girlfriend, where is she?"
"I think she's out there talking with Duke's friend. What's her name?"
"Mariah. They must've gotten acquainted tonight."
"Yeah I think she made a friend. Which is good for her because I was starting to get worried." Mj said.
"Worried why?"
"Ever since I've met her all she does is spend time with me. Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with Chanel. We have fun together but it makes me wonder if she has any friends."
"Well has she mentioned anything to you about family or friends?"
"No, that's why I'm curious."
"Did you ask her?"
"No."
"Why not?" Ameerah chuckled.
"Because we've only been talking for a few months. We're still in the beginning stages of getting to know each other. She might not have mentioned it because it's a sensitive subject."
"All the more reason to ask her and talk about it. Don't you think so?" Ameerah questioned.
"I guess you're right. I'll bring it up later this week."
"Where did you meet her anyway? She looks kind of familiar to me but then again my memory is still a little fuzzy. So I could be making this up."
"It's actually ironic that you asked that. I met her at the hospital you were staying at."
"Really? That is ironic. What was she doing there?"
"She was there to check on you but the doctors wouldn't let her see you. Family only."
"Hmm really? I don't remember her at all. And she hasn't come to see me since I've been released. Are you sure she was there for me?"
"Yeah, why would she lie?"
"I didn't say she did. I'm just asking a question. Maybe you misheard her or something but it doesn't matter." She said dismissing the topic.
"What made you stay down here for so long?"
"After your accident I decided to stay in town for a little while. You know, make sure you and my niece are good. And about my niece, I'm sorry I haven't been a good uncle. When I found out I was kind of in a trance. I mean think about it, everything the two of us have been through in the past couple of months is crazy."
