Madeleine Genevieve Devereaux

I hated early flights with a passion. Waking up early I loved but getting ready was a whole other story. Which was why I hated shoots in the morning, I liked my peaceful mornings and doing my own things. But alas I had a shoot in Paris and with me living in Monaco I had to go to Nice and then catch a flight from there. I was living a dream that I never thought would come true. I was short for a supermodel at 5'6 so I never thought I'd make it big.

"Maddie we have to leave like now!" My manager, Willow screams from the door.

"I'm coming." I shout back, grabbing my luggage and dragging it across my apartment.

By the time we reached Paris, I was starving but I didn't want to be bloated before my photoshoot so I just ate a caesar salad. I was shooting for Louis Vuitton and I was on a strict diet after gaining three pounds in Italy a few weeks ago. The food there was so good my diet went out the window.

Thankfully I was shooting with one of my best friends Stella. She was the first model I became friends with when I had to fly to New York for my first big shoot and now we were modelling for the biggest brands. It was hard her living in London and me in Monte Carlo but we somehow made it work. After our shoot we were both going back to Miami for the Grand Prix and even though I don't know much about F1, Stella was the biggest fan. I personally think she just goes there to look at the drivers but that's just my opinion.

"Mads we need outfits for the GP. I'm not letting Oscar see me looking homeless." Stel says, her and Oscar had been speaking on and off for months.

"Chérie you couldn't look homeless even if you tried." I tell her, she was an English beauty. She had these emerald green eyes that make my baby blues look dull.

"Stop it. I'm getting butterflies." She laughs, "but we're still going shopping."

"Okay once we get this shoot over with we can go." I smile, I would never say no to going on a shopping spree.

The shoot was over before we knew it and I was exhausted, it lasted longer than expected and I just wanted to crash but as Stella said we went shopping. I was just excited for Charles to race he's been my friend for years, he was the only driver I knew and it was hard not to know him since he was born and raised in the same country as me.

"Have you spoken to Harry recently?" I ask Stella as we finally stop for dinner. We had been shopping for a good three hours and I hadn't eaten since my caesar salad this morning.

"No and thank god for that. He's finally stopped bugging me." Harry was her ex and a fellow model that she met on a shoot in Canada and a big psychopath.

"Do you think you'd ever go back there?" I question, shoving a piece of salmon in my mouth.

"Never! He gives me the creeps now." She shivers, making me giggle. "What about you? Would you ever speak to Francis again?"

"No, we've both moved on and he was lesson well learned." I answer, my ex wasn't bad by any means but we just wanted different things and he expected me to be the perfect French housewife.

We spent the next two hours just catching up on our lives and then we went our separate ways for the night. I was ready to sleep for the next 12 hours, our flight to Miami was early again and I needed to get as much sleep as possible since we had the Grand Prix the following day. I decided to give my mum a quick FaceTime call before I went to bed and tell her how the shoot went.
