Madeleine Genevieve Devereaux

It's the day of the Monaco Grand Prix and I was so nervous. Lando qualified fourth yesterday and he wasn't very happy, apparently that wasn't good enough but I thought he did great. We've spent a lot of time together this past week and I think I'm starting to like him. He just knows how to make me smile and feel so comfortable. But yesterday he was really hard on himself, he kept saying how he could have done better in quali. I don't know much about F1 but I know that fourth is still a great place to start.

Me, Stella and Margo were headed to the paddock when I spot Lando heading out of the McLaren paddock. We decided that with all the rumours going around that we won't make us getting to know each other too obvious. I mean I was already getting threats from some of his fans and I wasn't very happy about it. However, seeing Lando break out into a huge smile when he saw me all I thought was 'fuck it' and I started walking towards him. Lando immediately pulled me into a hug, it was rather quick but there were cameras surrounding us.

"I've missed you." He says, pulling the cap I was wearing over my head lower.

"I saw you yesterday." I state laughing, picking a piece of lint off his knitted hoodie.

"It's been a whole fourteen hours." He pouts but he finally notices Stella standing a few feet behind me and walks over to give her a quick hug. He hasn't met Margo yet so he smiled politely. "Hey Stel."

"Hi lover Lando." She winks at both me and him as Lando moves to stand next to me.

"You're actually an idiot." I laugh while Lando blushes. He gets so embarrassed and it's utterly adorable.

"Well guys I'll catch up with you after the race." Lando says nodding at my friends before turning to me. "You're still coming over to mine after?"

"Yep, I'll meet you when you're finished with press." I smile and we have a longer hug. "Good luck, you can win this!"

"With you here I just might be able too." He smirks, then someone from McLaren pulls him away.

I let out a little sigh and smile as he turns around to wave at me. I could really see myself falling for a guy like him even though we barely know each other. I mean I have spent nearly everyday this week with him but I have a feeling that it's going to be too much for me. I was used to being on camera and fans but I kept my private life very private and never dated someone in the spotlight so this was new to me. No one really knew me or my family and that was how I wanted to keep it but people were already digging into my life and it felt like a huge invasion of privacy.

"So you and Lando?" Margo wiggles her brows suggestively.

"We're just friends." I say, trying not to let the smile break free.

"That's why you're going over to his house later?" She giggles, as someone from McLaren comes to take us into the paddock saving me from answering.

Once I was seated I send a quick text to Alex and Charles wishing him good luck, it was a home race for him as it was for me but I was still team Lando. I smile as a camera comes around filming me and Stella, it was a bit awkward but Stella steals the show with her beaming smile.

"I heard you have an interview in London tomorrow with BBC radio 1." Stella says, scrolling through her phone.

"Yeah I have to be there for 10am and I really don't want to go." I frown, my agent set up a but of interviews tomorrow since I was doing a collaboration with Jo Malone.

"Why not? Aren't you used to it by now?" She asks, giving me her full attention.

"I am but you know radio interviews, they always ask personal questions and I just don't want to speak about my life." I tell her, messing with my skirt.
