Chapter 9:

The training was usually fun for me,

It was a way for me to let out some steam and frustration, but it seemed like I let out too much steam and frustration. The coach made me sit out today's practice because I was "too rough" on the other kids.

Breaking someone's jaw is normal! What is he saying?

I decided to head back home and call it a night, too much has happened today and I don't think I can handle any more unexpected events and whatnot.

On my way home, I suddenly recalled that half-and-half guy, Sakura. The way his face turned red and started stuttering like an idiot. I then remembered Kotoha saying I was so easy to read when I was young,

Was I like Sakura, if I was when I was young then Ume must have known I liked him and if he does know from back then and still treats me this way then he's just not interested.

"Is that why he's been distant with me all these years?" I mumbled to myself as I entered the cafe.

The moment I opened the door and stepped foot inside the cafe, the first thing I saw was black and white. Not that my vision turned black and white but I saw the top of Sakura's head.

"Y-Y-You!" Sakura and I screamed stuttering as we pointed to each other, the memories of his stupid proposal quickly flashed in my head and I started blushing like a madman, he was also turning beet red so I'm assuming he also recalled what happened earlier today.

"W-W-What are you doing here?!" I questioned nervously,

"W-We were told to be here!" He continued to stutter,

"Am I missing something here?" Suo questioned as he was seated with Sakura, Nirei, and some middle school kid. Sugishita was seated up front with Kotoha behind the counter.

So the meeting Suo was talking about was a Bofurin meeting.

"Do you two know each other?" Kotoha-nee asked, "And why are you covered in bandages, did you get into a fight again?" I was not going to tell her what happened,

"Suga-san fought with Sakura-san," Nirei was quick to answer, Sakura and I quickly glared at the little blonde boy who quickly retaliated in his seat.

"You what? Sakura, how could you?" Kotoha scolded Sakura who looked like he was backed into a corner.

"First of all, I didn't know she was a girl!" Sakura reasoned, "If I knew she was, I would never have fought with her!" At least someone sees me as a girl,

"Enough of that, why are you even here?" I questioned the Bofurin idiots who were in the middle of having their dinner, I presume?

"Why are we here?" Sakura questioned, "Umemiya said we'll go out for a meal, so why here?" Ume? So Ume will be here tonight? I don't think I want to see him just yet. I should hed back to my room,

"This place has always been famous as a hangout for Bofurin, I hear everyone gathers here before a fight," Suo explained, wai! How is he friends with Sakura though? That's an unusual pair, Sakura is too wild to be friends with the calm Suo, "And most of all--,"

Before I could leave, the door flew open cutting off Suo from what he was trying to say.

Geh. It's Ume.

"Ko! To! Ha!" Umemiya cooed as he entered the cafe and quickly ran to Kotoha to compliment her, "Your hair looks cute today as always, looks good on you! By the way, those veggie sprouts I mentioned the other day are so big now, I'll have some delivered here by summer!"
