Chapter 18

Chapter 18:

"So that basically sums up my relationship with Ume. I always had this love-hate feeling towards him, I don't really know what to feel, to be honest," I informed Sakura who was oddly enough, listening attentively to my story. I didn't think he'd be interested or care about my past or relationship with Ume but here he is with his full attention on me. "But it doesn't really matter if I love him, he'd never like me the way I like him. The only reason Ume puts up with me is because of that mental breakdown I had years ago. I know deep down he hates me, especially for what I did,"

"Then what do you plan on doing now?" Sakura asked, I just shrugged in response, 

"I still want him to acknowledge me," I truthfully told Sakura who just nodded in response, "I just don't know if I want him to acknowledge me as a girl or as a strong fighter,"

"Then why not try to do both?" He questioned, "If he acknowledges you as a girl or as a great fighter then that's great, but wouldn't it be better if he acknowledges you as a strong female fighter? Someone who can stand by his side while he's on top... for now--" He mumbled the last part but I definitely heard him, I couldn't help but chuckle.

"You really think you can defeat Umemiya?" I said laughing at his comment, Sakura then started becoming aggressive and quickly challenged me to a fight, 

"You don't think I can?!" He hissed bitterly at me, I continued to chuckle and wave him off,

"It's not that," I said in between laughs, "If anyone is going to beat Umemiya that isn't me, it's definitely going to be you," I sincerely told him. Sakura started blushing the deepest shade of red you could imagine, "I believe with my whole heart that you definitely can,"

"S-S-Shut u-up! I-I d-d-don't need y-y-you t-to b-b-believe in m-me!" He stuttered nervously, I couldn't help but laugh again, he's so fun to be around.

"I have my own goals to accomplish," I told him, "I'm going to make Umemiya and my father acknowledge me-- but I also want to help you accomplish your goal of reaching the top, I'll make sure you'll become the next top dog of Furin," 

"T-Then I'll help you too," Sakura started calming down but he was still stuttering a little, I couldn't help but blush a little when he said that. I rarely receive help from anyone so hearing Sakura say that to me was really heartwarming, "I don't know how though,"

"Thank you," I mumbled shyly, "I feel a lot better now," Sakura just nodded in response, he looked like he didn't know how to respond to my gratitude. I don't know what Sakura has been through in his previous town but he's so socially awkward like a lost puppy, "Alright, I have to go, my last gym kicked me out for being too violent so I have to find a place to train while my coach finds me a new gym"

"Wait," Sakura said before I could leave, "You're still in your suspension, right?"

"For another 2 weeks, yeah, why?" I asked,

"Why don't you come to Furin," He suggested, I just stood there and gave him a questioning look. What does he mean come to Furin? "You have nothing to do until you get signed to another gym, and you're looking for the perfect training ground, why not train at Furin? I'll fight you-- I'm sure we can find other guys to fight you,"

That's not a bad idea, Suo could also train me since he goes to Furin. This might actually work, I might take up his offer, but what about Ume?

Ume won't be happy if he finds out I'm fighting guys at Furin.

But then again, if he knew about my current situation, he'd understand. If I can't make Ume fight me seriously, then I guess I could settle for fighting his guys.

"I'm in!" I replied excitedly, I can't wait to fight so many strong guys! I hope I get to fight Kaji, I've always wanted to fight him since he was in middle school but I can't seem to get a hold of him.

...

Why did I ever think going to Furin would be peaceful? Of course, I was going to get ambushed, I was an outsider, and not only that but I was an infamous underground delinquent.

The moment I stepped foot onto the campus I was jumped by a group of first-years, 

"Oi-- What are you doing here?" This really tall guy with a red pompadour hairdo towered over me,

"Just visiting," I smugly rebutted, this seemed to tick him off,

"Brave of you to infiltrate Furin all by yourself, squirt," Another guy chimes in, I just let out a frustrated sigh. I didn't have the energy to go back and forth with these idiots. If they're going to fight me they should just go ahead and hit me.

"Look, I'm just here to meet with a friend, so if you don't mind--," I was about to walk past them when they grabbed my arm. The very moment I felt his hand touch my skin, I gave him a swift kick on the head, knocking him out instantly. "Don't you dare fucking touch me, you dirty Bofurin ass-lickers,"

One by one I was attacked by every student that was in the courtyard. Not only that, but the students who were in their respective classrooms also rushed down to see what the commotion was about.

"Isn't that, Suga?"

"Bro, what is Sugawara doing at Furin?"

"Is he here to challenge Umemiya-san?"

"He really came to Furin by himself"

"Bro is so creepy, he's laughing while going against hundreds of Furin guys,"

"He's actually having fun fighting everyone,"

"He's much shorter in person--,"

I haven't let out this much steam in so long! I haven't fought like this in months and I was enjoying every minute of it.

The pain,

The blood dripping down the corner of my mouth,

The sound of bones cracking,

Just hearing these Furin boys whine in pain was music to my ears,

I miss the blood rush, 

But the moment quickly ended when a familiar tall, white-haired jerk decided to cut the party short.

"What is going on here?!" Umemiya yelled as he arrived on site, "Yuzuru, what are you doing here?"

"I-- uhh--," I didn't know what to say at that moment, I didn't really think I had to tell Ume about me visiting Furin for a few days to train. It didn't really cross my mind, I was so excited about fighting again that I forgot to tell him.

"I invited her," Sakura said as he came out of the school building and addressed the situation to Umemiya, "She's going to be training here for a few days,"

"What?" Was all Ume could say with what was happening,
