Things could not be any wrong right? Well they were.

Mr. Filch and Mrs. Norris had been waiting for three musketeers all along at the foot of the stairs. Due to this 'intervention' they had left the invisibility cloaks on top of the tower.

Filch took them down to Professor McGonagall's study on the first floor, where they sat and waited without saying a word to eachother. Hermione was trembling, Harry was deep in thought. The brunette was thinking of some comet, they could 'supposedly' be watching. They were so dead, but she was strangely thinking about F.R.I.E.N.D.S. now.

The brunette snapped back into reality as soon as Neville came in with Professor McGonagall.

Neville had done it, he almost told what they were doing there. Professor McGonagall had seen, she looked like she was more likely to breathe fire than Norberta, as she towered over them.

"I would never believed it any of you. Mr. Filch says you were up in the astronomy tower. It's one o'clock in the morning. Explain yourselves."

It was the first time Sweetheart failed to answer a teacher's question. Even the brunette was speechless.

"I think I've got a good idea of what's been going on," said Professor McGonagall. "It doesn't take a genius to work it out. You fed Draco Malfoy some cock and bull story about a dragon, trying to get him out of bed and into trouble. I've already caught him. I suppose you think it's funny that Longbottom here heard the story and believed it, too?"

Listening to this the brunette's heart broke, as she saw Neville's stunned and hurt face. She locked eyes with Harry, they also mirrored the expression she had, she knew what it had cost Neville to try and warn them.

"I'm disgusted," Professor McGonagall. "Five students out of bed in one night! I've never heard of such a thing before! You, Miss Granger,  I thought you had more sense. Miss Scamander, I thought you might be more like your brother. As for you, Mr. Potter, I thought Gryffindor meant more to you than this. All four of you----

All of them receiving a detention, 40 points each taken from Gryffindor..this was something, she thought she'd never experience. But smuggling a dragon had its demerits.

As for detention, all she knew about them came from muggle TV shows. Her brother never received one, and he never talked about them. Her dad well, was ALSO a good student and Her mom was obviously a law abiding citizen.

She only felt bad about the points and Neville. She knew how hard it was to gain points. She and Hermione gained many points for them in lessons, Raven in Quidditch  but all of that meant nothing to the number of points they lost- 160. Gryffindor in last place...that was her nightmare coming true. She knew that in past years the hall was always covered in Slytherin decorations at the end, but she had promised herself that it would change the year she came.

.....🥀

Hermione and the brunette cried into the night listening to sad songs. They didn't sleep. When they got ready for classes, they still had red and puffy eyes. They both wore blue subconsciously mirroring their mood.

The brunette's

The Gryffindors that passed the hourglasses recording the points thought there had been a mistake. The rumour soon passed that the Famous Harry Potter and a couple other stupid first years lost them those points.

Harry had become the most hated person now, even Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw turned on him. The Quartet now had stopped being a cute group of firstyear. All of them had stopped doing anything which could get points taken.

Hermione had stopped answering questions in guilt but the brunette was determined to make more points. She answered questions at any chance she got. The four of them had now made one common goal- studying for their exams.

It was a good distraction, but the brunette always read something else while the others revised as unlike Hermione, revising just made her forget all she learnt. She just started revising one week before and was good to go. She loved how Hermione knew everything already but still revised all of it over and over again, nodding while thinking-"My silly sweetheart."
.....

With just one week before exams, the brunette also became a full nerd with the ultimate scary aura. She was revising History when the Raven came with a whole new info.

"So you are saying Snape has finally tortured Quirell into telling his defense."
" There's still Fluffy, Darling."
" Maybe Snape found out how to get past him without asking Hagrid," Ron exclaimed while looking up at all the books in the library.
" I bet there's a book somewhere in here telling you how to get past a giant three-headed dog. So what do we do, Harry?"
Hermione answered.
"Go to Dumbledore. That's what we should've done ages ago. If we try anything ourselves we'll be thrown out for sure."
"But we've got no proof, Quirell's too scared to back us up. Snape's only got to say he doesn't know how the troll got in at Halloween and that he was nowhere near the third floor-- who do you think they'll believe, him or us? It's not exactly a secret we hate him. Dumbledore'll think we made it up to get him sacked. Filch wouldn't help us if his life depended on it, he's too friendly with Snape, and the more students get thrown out, the better, he'll think. And don't forget, we're not supposed to know about the stone or Fluffy. That'll take a lot of explaining." The Raven said while glaring at his book as if it had taken his candy.

The brunette then zoned out, thinking if Dumbledore was really going to be so- judgy like Harry thought, then launched out to revise for Astronomy.
.....

The next day, the four idiots received their detention details. The brunette had totally forgotten about that, while she read the note she was feeling guilty for being happy about the place they were going to- The Forbidden Forest.

They had all kinds of creatures there! She looked over at her friends- all with guilty faces, she changed her expression before they could see her.

This detention had a possibility of becoming something memorable...
