THIRD PERSON'S POV

THEY ALL opened the door, looking at the scared kids, they just saved. "Aris. Hey, you guys okay?" Thomas rushed to Aris, when he saw him. He was beaten. "Yeah, we're fine." Sonya answered. "Jesus." Thomas exhaled, looking at Aris' condition. Veronica, Thomas and Newt looked around all of the kids. "It's okay, you guys are safe, all right? Just hang on." Veronica tried to calm them down.

They all looked and looked, but Minho wasn't there. "He's not here." Thomas said, the moment he got to the last seats. Anger filled all of them. Knowing they got the wrong wagon. Especially Veronica. She was a hundred percentage sure, that Minho was here.

Veronica leaned on a wall, looking at the hundreds of the kids they saved, while Vince was explaining to them what actually happened. She didn't know how to feel. After all this time of planning this, they didn't save Minho. She was mad, very mad at herself.

She went to Aris and Sonya to hopefully get some information from them. "Took you guys long enough to rescue us." Aris chuckled. "It's good the see you too, bud." Veronica answered, feeling relief, that they saved him and Sonya at least. "So what happened?" She asked, wondering how he got his black eye. "I fought back. Tried to, anyway." Aris explained.

"You're lucky you found us at all. They had us on the move a lot. It felt like something big was happening." Sonya spoke. "Any idea where they were headed?" Newt asked. "All I know is...they kept talking about a city." Aris answered Newt's question. Everyone looked at each other, because they didn't know there's a city left.

"I didn't think there were any cities left." Harriet said, confused. "That's because there aren't. Not still standing, anyway." Brenda said. "Okay, wait. What about Minho? Why wasn't he on the train?" Thomas looked at Aris, hoping for an answer. "I'm sorry, Thomas. He was."

Veronica opened the map on the table, pointing at where the city should be standing. "There. That's it. It's a few hundred miles. Based on the railways, everything that Aris told us...that's gotta be where they're headed. That's where they're taking Minho. We take everyone who can fight. Follow the roads where we can. We can make it back within a week." Veronica explained the plan, hoping for Vince to agree.

"A week? It took us six months to get here. We got over a hundred kids here now. We can't just hang out here forever. After what we just pulled, you wanna wander off to some random point on the map? You don't even know what's there." Vince said, clearly disagreeing with her.

"I do." Jorge spoke from behind. "It's been a few years, but I've been there. The Last City. That's what WICKED called it. It was their whole base of operations. If that city is still standing, that's the last place you wanna go, hermana. That's the lion's den." Jorge explained about the city. Veronica looked into his eyes, hoping for help. "It's nothing we haven't done before."

"Yeah, with months of planning, and reliable information, the element of surprise, none of which we have now." Vince spoke, trying to convince her not to go. "I've thought this through. Hear me out?" She tried to explain herself. "The last time we went off half-cocked, I lost everything. You remember that?" Vince yelled, as he remembered the moment Mary was shot. "Look, I know it's Minho. All right? But you can't ask me to put those kids on the line for one man. I won't do it."

That's where Veronica went completely silent, but she won't give up. She will find Minho, even if she had to do it alone. All of the sudden they heard voices from the radio. "Shit. Hit the lights." Thomas told them. Veronica and Vince got out, seeing the flying Bergs that were close to them. "Jeez, they're getting close." Vince said.

"You're right. We can't stay here." Veronica looked at him and Vince just walked away.

Veronica waited for everyone to go to sleep. She packed her bags. She wanted to leave and go to the city herself. She was making her way to the car, when someone stopped her. "Where do you think you're going then?" Newt's appearance showed, as he turned on a lamp. "Newt..." she sighed. "Don't be a twat about it. I'm already in. Come on." Newt said, grabbing the backpack from her hands.

"No. No, not this time. Look, even if we find Minho, there's no guarantee we make it back from this." She tried stopping him, not wanting to put him in danger. "Well, you'll need all the help you can get then." Newt opened the car's door, revealing Frypan at the driver's seat and Thomas next to him. Veronica slightly smiled. "Well, we started this together. May as well end it that way too." Newt said, looking at her.

"Okay. Let's go get him back." Both of them got in the backseats and Frypan drove off.
