Two years had passed since the confrontation in the Red Keep, and Prince Lucerys Targaryen was now five years old. In their chambers, Lucerys, his sister Aemma, and his brother Jacaerys were playing with their wooden dragons, their laughter echoing through the room.

"Big scary dragon!" Lucerys exclaimed, making his toy roar.

Their play was interrupted by the arrival of their mother, Princess Rhaenyra, and her husband, Ser Laenor, carrying their newborn brother, Joffrey. The children immediately jumped up, excited to see the baby.

"Mother, look!" Aemma said eagerly. "We've chosen an egg for the baby." "We let Luke choose an egg for they. Baby ." Jacaerys said

Lucerys beamed. " thank you jace !"

Rhaenyra smiled warmly. "That looks  like the perfect one," she said as Ser Harwin Strong helped her sit down.

Ser Harwin nodded approvingly. "I escorted them," he said, looking at Rhaenyra with a soft expression.

"Thank you, Ser Harwin," Rhaenyra replied.

Harwin looked at the baby with a hint of longing. "Another boy, I hear. Might I?" he asked.

Rhaenyra glanced at Laenor, who nodded and handed Joffrey to Harwin. "Joffrey, is it?" Harwin said softly.

"Father, please, may I hold Joffrey?" Lucerys asked, reaching out eagerly.

But Laenor shook his head. "Back to the dragon pit, all three of you. It's time for your dragons."

Reluctantly, the children obeyed. As they returned to the dragon pit, they saw their uncles, Aegon and Aemond Targaryen, finishing their practice with Aegon's dragon, Sunfyre. Aegon sauntered over to his niece and nephews with a mischievous grin.

"I'm planning a prank on Aemond," he said. "Do you want to join?"

Lucerys hesitated, remembering how Aemond had betrayed him two years ago, but then nodded. Jacaerys also agreed, while Aemma was skeptical but decided to go along.

Aegon outlined the prank: they would tell Aemond they had found a dragon for him, but it was actually a pig. With everything ready, Aegon approached his brother.

"Aemond, we have a surprise for you," Aegon said, draping an arm around Aemond's shoulders.

"What is it?" Aemond asked, suspicion in his voice.

"Something very special," Lucerys replied, unable to hide his grin.

"You're the only one of us without a dragon," Aegon said.

"Indeed," Aemond acknowledged, his eyes wary.

"And we felt badly about it, so we found one for you," Aegon continued.

""A dragon? How?" Aemond asked, his suspicion giving way to a spark of hope.

"The gods provide," Aegon said, trying to keep a straight face. He led Aemond to a covered cage. "Behold... The Pink Dread!"

Aegon, Aemma, Jacaerys, and Lucerys pulled back the cover to reveal a pig dressed with wings and painted in bright colors. They laughed, though Aemma's laughter was more nervous than the others'.

"Be sure to mount her carefully," Aegon said, barely containing his mirth. "The first flight's always rough."

Aemond's face fell, his cheeks burning with embarrassment and anger. He said nothing and stormed off, leaving the others laughing behind him.

Later that day, during the training session in the courtyard, Prince Jacaerys, Prince Lucerys, Prince Aegon, and Prince Aemond were practicing their combat skills under the watchful eye of Ser Criston Cole. Criston was noticeably harsher towards Jace and Luke, showing clear favoritism towards Aegon.
