Kachito awoke in the local hospital in a hospital bed. He looked to his sides and saw his bed was between Zotawa and Lei-Lei's beds.
Zotawa was already awake and drinking sake.
Kachito: Drinking already?
Zotawa: Oh be quiet, dumbass.
Kachito: Is that anyway to thank the guy who saved your life?
Zotawa rolled his eyes.
Zotawa: Quiet, you might wake sleeping beauty over there.
He motioned to Lei-Lei. Kachito looked over. Absolutely enamored with the way she looked while sleeping.
Kachito: She's so pretty...
Zotawa: Let her rest lover boy.
Kachito sighed and and sat up in his hospital bed and felt a twinge of pain. My fucking muscles hurt...
He looked down and noticed the plethora of bandages wrapped around his body. Zotawa also had a lot of bandages. Same story with Lei-Lei.
Lei-Lei started waking up and when she sat up she looked over at Kachito and Zotawa.
Lei-Lei: What happened?
Zotawa: That guy who said he was Kachito's father was defeated.
Lei-Lei: That's good. So whose the hero who did it? I owe that guy a smooch cuz I'm glad I didn't die...
Zotawa smirked a bit and looked at Kachito. He whispered to Kachito. "This is your chance dumbass."
Kachito nodded and piped up.
Kachito: Actually, I was the one who beat my father...
Lei-Lei looked at him incredulously but then realized he wasn't lying. She sighed and got up since she was the only one whose legs didn't get injured. She walked over to Kachito and SMOOCH!
Kachito blushed like a madman as Lei-Lei kissed him on the cheek. His face red as the blood that flowed through his body. (Not like that) Lei-Lei then pulled away from him and looked away.
Lei-Lei: Thanks for saving us...maybe you aren't that bad...
Zotawa grinned. His thoughts were all making fun of Kachito.
Zotawa: Good job pal, you got a kiss and she's warming up to you. Congrats. You aren't entirely hopeless.
A day later
The three of them managed to recover quickly due to their Kami no Chikara. They spent the day hanging around in Saigai Village before departure to their next destination. Lei-Lei explained how the Return Kunai worked to them cuz they were curious about how it worked.
Lei-Lei was less cold to them, mainly Kachito. Mostly because Kachito did save her life. Kachito not knowing how relationships work, approached Lei-Lei.
Kachito: Hey Lei-Lei, when I become Heavenly Swordsman will you marry me?
Lei-Lei blushed like crazy, turning as red as a tomato.
Lei-Lei: WHO THE HELL JUST WALKS UP AND ASKS SOMEONE THAT!?!
Zotawa was laughing his ass of in the background. It was clear he told Kachito to say that.
Lei-Lei: God you're an idiot...but if you became Heavenly Swordsman, I'd be an idiot to turn down marriage to you so...fine. IF you become Heavenly Swordsman. That's a big if. So don't expect anything.
Zotawa: Wait she said yes!? What the fuck kind of plot armor does that moron have!?
Kachito walked back over.
Kachito: Well looks like I'm gonna have a wife in the future.
Zotawa: She said if you became the Heavenly Swordsman. Not otherwise.
Kachito: And I will become Heavenly Swordsman.
Zotawa: Well I guess I respect your confidence in your own ability to be chosen.
Meanwhile...
On top of a hill that overlooks Saigai Village, two Oni were looking down on Saigai.
Oni #1: Lord said we are to wait for them to enter the Village of the Shroud?
Oni #2: Correct. The Lord said that he has many lower Oni waiting in the forests surrounding the Village of the Shroud. Once they enter the Village, we are to attack and sick the lower Oni. Though we are mainly supposed to target Kachito Mishimura, Zotawa Rodin, and as of recent updates...a traitorous member of the Assassin Guild named Lei-Lei Katsukura.
Oni #1: Understood. Shall we be on our way to arrive before them so we may attack as soon as we can?
Oni #2: Yes. Let us go.
The two Oni began walking away, heading to the Village of the Shroud. The next destination of Kachito, Zotawa, and Lei-Lei.
The next day...
After packing their things, grabbing their Dizen, and polishing their weapons, the trio left Saigai Village. They were now on their way to the Village of the Shroud. Where unbeknownst to them, a large group of Oni awaited...
Aswell as two members of the Oni Council.
