Chapter 8

It's been three whole days and Jennie is still feeling anxious. Her thoughts had turned into a mess thinking of different scenarios of what might happened to Lisa. She's been worried sick ever since the day Lisa didn't answered their call.

FLASHBACK

"Her name is Lalisa Manoban."

"Oh really?" Jisoo asked, interested. "How did the two of you meet?"

Jennie paused for awhile, thinking of an excuse. She doesn't want to let her know how she and Lisa met, atleast not yet.

She chuckled nervously but not for Jisoo to notice. "That's a long story, anyways, I really think she would fit for the job. I've seen some of her works.."

Jennie mostly whispered the last part, since she only got to know Lisa's work is by stalking the young woman's entire Instagram page.

Jisoo raised one of her eyebrow "Okay then, do you have her email or phone number so that I can contact her for an interview?"

"I do have her number, here let me put it in for you."

Jennie stretched out her opened palm towards Jisoo, silently asking for the phone. Jisoo, without a word, handed it over to her. In a quick second Jennie typed in the number without even looking at her own phone. Jisoo watched her closely, starting to get suspicious.

Jisoo then saved Lisa's number after the phone got handed back to her. "Alright, I'll call her later."

"Actually can you call her now.."  Curious, Jisoo glanced at Jennie, but somehow she is avoiding her cousin's gaze, Jisoo wonders what she was hiding.

"Uhm yeah sure.." Still confused, she dialed the number as her cousin had requested. The line rang for a minute before it went to Lisa's voicemail.

Jisoo saw the dissapointment in Jennie's face.
"Sorry, she didn't answer, she might be busy."

Jennie sighed, worried. "You're right.. maybe try again later?"

Jisoo nodded and smiled "Don't worry, I will."

Jennie kept pacing back and forth in her office. She had just finished work, but she still couldn't stop worrying about Lisa. She knows Lisa's address because she has her file, but she wasn't sure if she should go there.

Rubbing her temple, she heard her phone buzzed loudly, she quickly snatched her phone from her desk and checked who the message was from.

Like I said 30 minutes ago.. still no call back or reply. Sorry Jen.

Feeling fraustrated Jennie finally grabbed her keys and left.

After a half-hour drive to Lisa's apartment. Jennie is now standing infront of Lisa's door, It's a good thing the person in the front desk didn't really care for much and just gave away the room number to Jennie.

After a moment of hesitation, she raised her hand and gently knocked on the door. Now, all she could do was wait for the person she had been wanting to see to open the door.
