When King Viserys I Targaryen closed his eyes for a nap, he never woke as he took his last breath.

On the morrow once it was confirmed of his death, Queen Alicent ordered that his room be sealed, that the servants who had heard of the King's passing to be sent to the dungeons so the word would not spread.

The doors to Princess Rhaenys quarters sealed her like a dragon in a cage.

Then the greens had their council making the ultimate decision that led to war.

No ravens flew, no bells rang, and no coronation of Princess Rhaenyra had happened as no one on Dragonstone had heard the news.

Alicent had sent her Kingsguard to bring her son's Aegon, Aemond, and Aelon. The one-eyed Prince was found first by Ser Willis Fell, "Is Aegon King? Or must we kneel and kiss the old whore's feet along with her bastards?"

As Alicent went to Helaena's chamber to find her eldest son, she was given the response. "He in not in my bed, you may be sure. Feel free to search beneath the blankets."

Once she turned to the door she saw Aemond walk in, she went up to him dragging him out the hall. "Aegon is missing and must be found, and he must be brought to me." She explained to her second son who nodded.

"I will find him mother."

It was a chase between the Queen and the Hand to who could get Aegon first. Aemond true to his word dug through the filth of flea bottom where his brother roots like a weed hiding among other fifth and rats. Until he was found in the cellars of the Red Keep.

Aegon ran refusing to be part of the plans. "My sister is heir, not me. What sort of brother steals his sister's birthright?" He holds his brother's face in his hands. "I have no wish to rule! I will run away and you shall be king, please, brother."

Aemond thinks before he grabbed Aegon. "Mother needs you."

"No! I have no taste of duty! I'm not suited."

Aemond muttered, "You'll hear no arguments from me." As he dragged his brother back to have a crown placed on his head.

While Alicent waited anxiously, she made it her mission to find her third son, Aelon. Who was isolated in his quarters found sitting behind his desk with an unpleasant expression. "This is treason." Was the first he said.
