I slowly trail behind Darius as we push through tall grass. My breathing is heavy and my muscles ache.

Ben screams behind me and we scream and turn around. I shield myself from the possible danger.

"Sorry, I stepped on a twig," Ben sighed in relief.

"Jeez, Ben," I mumble.

"I should step on you," Kenji pointed at Ben.

"It's okay, Ben. We're all on edge," Darius says.

"And lost," Yasmina sassed.

"Yeah, we've been out here for a while now. Darius, we sure were still headed towards the park?" Sammy asked.

"Well, we'd be sure if I still had my phone, because it has a GPS, a compass app, and is also a phone!" Brooklynn shouts.

"Sammy didn't steal your phone! No one stole your phone! Can we please stop talking about the phone?!" Yasmina yelled.

I scoff.

"Got something to say, Quiet Kid?" Yasmina looked toward me.

"Actually-" I started.

"You guys! You guys, you guys, you guys. Can you all yell at each other quieter, please?" Ben cut me off.

"My fellow campers, chill!" Kenji guides me away from Brooklynn and Yasmina, "What we need here is someone who can make the hard call on what to do next. Since I'm obviously leadership material... I'll do this. And my first decree as leader is for everyone to stop talking and just listen to Darius."

"Huh?" Darius says.

"You got us out of Camp alive. Plus, I can blame you if anybody gets eaten. Leadership. So, which way, Darius?" Kenji asks.

We stand there, waiting for him to say something.

"Please, you're just trying to cover up the fact that you're lost, too, Mr. VIP. None of us know where we are," Brooklynn says.

Mr. VIP... I have to use that. Where does she come up with these names?

"I know where we are!" Darius says and walks ahead.

"We're by the Carnotaurus paddock! I thought this place looked familiar," Darius smiled back at us.

"Am I a great leader or what?" Kenji asked as he and I walked away.

"You're not a leader at all," I tease.

"Whatever," Kenji scoffed and plopped his arm on my shoulders.

"Are we making this a habit?" I ask.

"Only until I can't reach your shoulders anymore, bro" Kenji smirked.

I rolled my eyes but smiled.

"I remember the fence!" Darius shouts.

We push through the last bit of grass and I stop at the look of enclosure.

"The broken, ripped-down fence," Darius says.

"That means... That means Toro is out here... with us," Ben says.

"Now we have to deal with the Indominus and Toro," Darius sighs.

"Hold up. How do you know about Toro?" Darius asked.

"We all know. Kenji and Quiet Kid told us, like, the day after it happened," Yasmina said as she passed us.

Darius turns to us and I sheepishly smile.

"In my defense, me saving you was super cool," Kenji defended.

"And the short bit I wrote was too good not to show anyone," I couldn't help but smile at the thought of my work.
