Amon and Matthew successfully reached Headmaster Edward, who emerged from a healing room used by the academy. "How is Jess doing?" Amon asked, concerned about her well-being. "Jess is doing fine, she just needs some rest," Headmaster Edward replied, informing Amon of her condition. "What was that incredible power Jess had displayed at the end of her match?" Matthew asked curiously. "Follow me," Headmaster Edward ordered the boys.
After a while, the trio arrived at Headmaster Edward's office, where he directed the boys to take a seat so he could explain his beliefs. Amon and Matthew sat down, and then Headmaster Edward began to explain his theory behind Jess's power, connecting it to the power of "The Amazon." ""What are, or who are "The Amazons"?"" Amon expressed, confused about their identity. ""The Amazons" are a group of remarkable women who live together and fight together."" "This tribe of warriors possessed a blessed bloodline, granting immense power when activated." Headmaster Edward continued.
"These warriors, known as the Whispering Wind Kingdom's sacred soldiers, served as the kingdom's last line of defense, closely guarding The King." "How powerful is The King if he can command such incredible warriors?" Matthew asked. "The King is one of the four strongest warriors on the continent," Headmaster Edward answered. "In fact The Wind Kingdom rules over the land we reside in," Headmaster Edward informed. "The continent is divided into four regions, each governed by one of the four great powers represented by the four kings who possessed The Sacred Jewels."
"Wow, the world is much larger than I thought," Amon whispered to himself, astonished by all his newfound knowledge. "So what happens if Jess is actually from the Amazon bloodline?" Matthew asked curiously. "Well, if she does share their blood, I feel that it is best for her to go and undergo training with the Amazons." "They would be able to make her realize her true potential a lot better than we could here," Headmaster Edward continued. "Now that's enough for now you two, you both need to rest and focus on the upcoming tournament, you only have seven days to prepare," Headmaster Edward declared.
Realizing the wisdom in Headmaster Edward's words, Amon and Matthew returned to their homes to cultivate their abilities. Determined to increase his strength, Amon thought about his current rank in the human realm, which stood at the fifth level. "How can I advance to the sixth rank within a week," he wondered, realizing the potential advantage it could provide in the tournament. "I suppose I'll see what I could buy that would assist me," he whispered to himself. Amon hurried to the market in search of techniques to strengthen his body and resources to increase his cultivation level.
Upon entering the market, he approached the shop owner about the techniques and resources he needed. "I was wondering if you had any techniques beyond the Cement Formation technique, and resources that'll help me raise my cultivation a bit," Amon said curiously. "I recommend you buy the Steel Formation technique since it's the strongest body strengthening technique we have," the shop owner explained. "We also have some rare cultivation pills that are capable of raising a warriors' cultivation level," the shop owner added. Excitedly agreeing to the offered items, Amon followed the shop owner to the counter to complete the purchase.
Utilizing his remaining resources, Amon completed the transaction and eagerly returned home, feeling satisfied despite spending one thousand reward points. Arranging all of his resources that aided in cultivation and body strengthening, Amon sat cross-legged and focused on mastering the Steel Formation technique. He also consumed the rare pills provided by the shop owner, absorbing their energy and nutrients, which nourished every cell in his body. A surge of fresh new energy coursed through him, empowering his being. With his newfound strength, Amon concentrated on cultivating the Steel Formation technique.
In just five days, he successfully broke through to the sixth rank and completely mastered the Steel Formation technique, granting him the ability to effortlessly punch through steel like a hit knife cuts through butter. He dedicated the following day to stabilizing his power. The day of the tournament arrived quickly, and Amon opened his eyes, filled with satisfaction and happiness about his progress. "Time to leave," Amon said, grinning. He left his home and made his way to the fighting stage, where the remaining warriors had already gathered.
Master Shawn stood up and welcomed all the warriors. "The tournament will begin in thirty minutes," he announced. Everyone patiently awaited the continuation of the matches. Finally, the thirty minutes ended, and the warriors assigned to the twentieth match stepped onto the stage. Both fighters engaged in a fierce battle, relying on their brute strength.
The crowd assumed that both had specialized in body strengthening based on their attacks. The twenty-first and twenty-second matches followed suit, ending quickly with the defeated opponents admitting defeat. Amon, now in the twenty-fourth match, eagerly anticipated testing his newfound strength against his opponent. Ascending the stage, Amon faced his opponent, Roger Phillips, who had achieved the twenty-sixth rank in the previous year's tournament. Amon's excitement waned as he realized that Roger stood no chance against him.
"No offense, but I advise you to admit defeat." "My victory is inevitable," Amon explained confidently. "Your arrogance will be your downfall kid!" Roger yelled, angered by Amon's remark. "You may now begin," Master Shawn announced, declaring the start of the match. Roger unleashed his energy, emanating a powerful aura. Unimpressed and unfazed, Amon remained composed.
"I won't repeat myself," Amon said coldly. Eager to end the battle quickly, Roger charged at Amon. However, in an instant, Amon activated the Whispering Wind technique, vanishing from Roger's sight. Confused, Roger scanned his surroundings, only to feel a tap on his shoulder. As he turned, he was met by Amon's determined face.
Frustrated by Amon's evasiveness, Roger released an energy blast at point-blank range. To Roger's surprise, Amon instantly vanished once again, reappearing behind him. Sensing the impending attack, Roger hastily turned around, but it was too late. "How are you this fast," Roger asked nervously. Amon delivered a powerful thump to Roger's head, propelling him off the stage.
The crowd was left in awe, considering Roger's previous ranking was among the top thirty warriors. "This kid is pretty strong," someone in the crowd muttered. "Yeah, the fact that he just defeated someone in the top thirty like it was a walk in the park says a lot about his power," another person chimed in. Matthew, however, remained unimpressed, believing that Amon's opponent was far weaker than the opponent he had fought against. "That wasn't fun at all," Amon said, disappointed.
Amon bowed before he turned ands walked off the stage annoyed at the strength of his opponent. "I still can't believe I got paired up with someone like him," Amon muttered angrily to himself. "I just know my next battle will be much better, because the remaining warriors are the absolute strongest in the entire academy," he said smiling, with a determined look on his face. The twenty-fifth match ended fast because the winner didn't even have to fight, his opponent admitted defeat at the start of the battle.
