I walked along the border following the scent, there was one that wasn't with the Rogues we caught. but the question was who's? Ryan wanted to come with me, but I told him not to. I had abilities nobody else knew about and he knew that, it's better to put me in danger than the alpha of our pack. it's not that I don't think he can defend himself it's I know for a fact that I had the ability to protect more than just myself, and if I died the pack wouldn't lose anything.

The night air was cool against my skin as I followed the scent along the border. It was faint, almost elusive, but unmistakable. I had smelt the scent before but the question was where?

I pushed through the underbrush, my mind racing with possibilities. When I finally caught sight of her, I stopped dead in my tracks. A man one that looked terrifying to even be around, I used my wolf scent to try to pick up what species he was, he was a hybrid wolf and vampire. I still had one up on him, I could use the magic of my father if need be.

" beta of the Moonlight pack" he said tilting his head to the side,

" who are you? are you the one behind the attack? behind them all?" I asked taking a step back I kept my hands behind my back as I lit a small flame letting it build up in the palm of my hand in case I needed to use it.

" yes and no. I did orchestrate them, but I didn't do it. I have my henchmen for that." he said taking a step closer.

" why?"

" I heard someone within one of the packs is a half blood. not just half God or goddess, but a hybrid as well, wolf and vampire." that made my heart stop, the minute the words left his mouth I quickly extinguish the flame behind my back. I couldn't let him see that. I couldn't let him know I was the one he was after.

" nothing like that exists, I think everybody would know if one did"

The hybrid smirked, his eyes narrowing as he studied me. "You might be right," he said slowly, "but then again, secrets have a way of hiding in plain sight. Especially when they're dangerous."

I kept my expression neutral, even as my mind raced. How did he know about me? Had someone from within the pack betrayed my secret, or had he discovered it another way?

"You're wasting your time," I said, my voice steady despite the tension coursing through me. "There's no such half-blood in our pack."

He took another step forward, his gaze piercing. "We'll see about that. I've already got plans in motion. If the half-blood doesn't reveal themselves, I'll just keep applying pressure until they do."

My blood ran cold. He was threatening my pack, my family. I couldn't let him continue, but I needed more information. "What do you gain from this? What's your endgame?"

The hybrid chuckled darkly. "I want to see if the rumors are true, if they truly are as powerful as the legend says." legend? there is a legend about half Bloods? " the prophecy States that the Half Blood mixed with Divine blood vampire and wolf will be more powerful than a god itself"

" and you want to use them as a weapon?" I asked taking a step farther back.

" yes and no, I want to test them, do experiments on them. see if I could take their blood and become them"

My heart pounded in my chest as his words sank in. This wasn't just a threat; it was a declaration of war. He wanted to use me—or rather, someone like me—as a pawn in his twisted game. I couldn't let that happen.

Keeping my expression neutral, I took a deep breath. "You're delusional," I said, injecting as much disdain into my voice as I could muster. "No one would let you get close enough to do that. You're dealing with wolves and gods. Do you really think you stand a chance?"
