A few days later, Y/N walked into her tutoring session with Taehyung, a noticeable bounce in her step and a bright smile on her face. Taehyung immediately picked up on her cheerful demeanor and couldn't help but smile in response.

"Hey, Y/N" Taehyung greeted her warmly. "You look like you're in a really good mood today. What's the occasion?"

Y/N blushed slightly and took a seat, her excitement evident. "Actually, Mr. Kim, I have some news. You remember Jake, right?"

Taehyung's smile faltered a bit as he remembered the pain Jake had caused her. "Of course. What about him?"

Y/N's smile widened. "He... he proposed to me! Jake asked me out, and I said yes!"

Taehyung was taken aback, struggling to process the sudden change. "He did? Wow, that's... unexpected. How did it happen?"

Y/N nodded eagerly. "It was really sweet. He came up to me after class and apologized for how he treated me before. He said he realized he had made a mistake and wanted to make it up to me. Then he asked if we could start over and go out together."

Taehyung forced a smile, though a part of him felt a twinge of concern. "That's great,
Y/N. I'm happy for you. As long as you're happy and he treats you well, that's what matters."

Y/N beamed, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "Thank you, Mr. Kim. It means a lot to me to have your support. I wanted to tell you because you've been so helpful and kind, and I really appreciate everything you've done."

Taehyung nodded, his heart heavy but determined to be supportive. "You deserve to be happy, Y/N. Just make sure he respects you and treats you the way you deserve."

"I will," Y/N assured him. "Thanks again, Mr. Kim."

She noticed his outfit immediately-a bright, patterned shirt paired with equally vibrant socks.

"Nice outfit, Mr. Kim," Y/N said, settling into her chair. "Did you get dressed in the dark, or are you trying to bring back disco fashion single-handedly?"

Taehyung laughed, shaking his head. I see you've come prepared today, Y/N. For your information, this shirt is a statement piece."

"Yeah, a statement that says, 'I lost a bet," Y/N quipped, her eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Touché," Taehyung responded with a grin. "But at least I'm not the one wearing socks with sandals last week. What was that all about? Are you secretly a dad on vacation?"

Y/N pretended to gasp in mock horror. "Socks and sandals are a comfort statement, Mr. Kim. You wouldn't understand."

"Oh, I understand comfort," Taehyung said, leaning back. "But there's a fine line between comfort and a fashion emergency."

Y/N laughed, shaking her head. "Says the guy who thinks neon socks are a good idea. Are you trying to guide airplanes to land here?"

"Hey, they add flair to my steps," Taehyung defended, lifting his foot to show off the socks. "At least I don't carry a bag that looks like it belongs to an anime character."

"Hey now, my bag is stylish and practical," Y/N shot back, patting her colorful backpack. "Unlike your tie, which looks like it was designed by someone who just discovered color printers."

Taehyung chuckled, adjusting his tie. "I'll have you know this tie was a gift from my very fashionable grandmother. She's quite the trendsetter."

"Well, Grandma Kim has quite the taste," Y/N said with a wink. "Maybe next time you can borrow her glasses too and complete the look."

Taehyung laughed heartily. I think I'll stick to my own style, thank you very much. But I must say, your witty comebacks are on point today. I might have to start taking notes."

"Glad to hear you're learning something from me for once," Y/N teased. "After all, I can't let you get too comfortable thinking you're the funniest one here."

Their banter continued, filled with laughter and light-hearted teasing. Despite the jabs, there was a deep sense of mutual respect and fondness in their exchange. Taehyung admired Y/N's quick wit and resilience, while Y/N appreciated his ability to keep the mood light and supportive.

As they wrapped up the session, Taehyung couldn't help but smile. He felt lucky to have a student like Y/N, whose intelligence and humor made every session enjoyable. And while their roasting sessions were all in good fun, they also signaled a strong bond that he knew would help Y/N through any challenge she faced.

As they transitioned into their tutoring session, Taehyung couldn't shake the uneasy feeling. He genuinely wanted Y/N to be happy, but he couldn't ignore the memory of how Jake had treated her before. Still, he resolved to support her and be there for her, no matter what.

After the session, Taehyung decided to confide in Jimin again. He needed to talk through his concerns with someone he trusted.

Later that evening, Taehyung met Jimin at the coffee shop once more, recounting the latest development with Y/N.

"Jimin, you won't believe it," Taehyung began. "Y/N came to our session today, and she told me that Jake proposed to her, and she accepted."

Jimin's eyes widened in surprise. "What? After everything that happened? How did that come about?"

Taehyung explained the situation, including Jake's apology and Y/N's happiness. Jimin listened carefully, nodding thoughtfully.

"That's quite a turnaround" Jimin said. "Do you think Jake is sincere this time?"

"I hope so," Taehyung replied, his worry evident. "Y/N seemed really happy, and I want to support her, but I can't help but feel concerned. I just don't want to see her get hurt again."

Jimin placed a reassuring hand on Taehyung's shoulder. "You're doing the right thing by being there for her. Just keep an eye on the situation. If Jake truly cares for her, he'll prove it over time. And if he doesn't, she'll need you more than ever."

Taehyung nodded, feeling slightly reassured by Jimin's words. "Thanks, Jimin. I guess all I can do is be there for her and hope for the best."

"Exactly," Jimin said with a supportive smile. "Y/N's lucky to have someone like you looking out for her."

As Taehyung left the coffee shop that evening, he resolved to continue being a steady source of support for Y/N. No matter what happened with Jake, he would be there to help her navigate the ups and downs, ensuring she always had someone to rely on.
