As Y/N continued her workday, the lingering warmth from her morning with Taehyung and the supportive conversation with Hoseok kept her spirits high. She was immersed in her tasks, the hum of the office around her a comforting background noise. She was reviewing some reports when a knock on her office door interrupted her concentration.
"Come in," she called out, expecting a colleague or perhaps Hoseok again. Instead, the door opened to reveal a figure she hadn't seen in a long time-Yoongi.
Y/N's breath caught in her throat. Yoongi had been her tutor during her early days who had helped shape her career. However, things had taken a dark turn when his obsession with her became apparent, leading to a series of unsettling encounters. Taehyung had eventually placed him under custody, and Y/N had thought she'd seen the last of him.
But here he was, standing in her office doorway, looking as composed as ever. His eyes held that same intensity she remembered, a mixture of intelligence and something darker.
"Hello, Y/N," Yoongi said, his voice smooth and calm. "It's been a while."
Y/N stood up from her desk, trying to mask her surprise and unease with a professional demeanor. "Yoongi, what are you doing here?"
He stepped inside, closing the door behind him. "I was released on bail, and I wanted to see you. I heard you've made quite a name for yourself. Commissioner General, huh?"
Y/N's heart pounded, but she kept her tone even. "Yes, I have. But you shouldn't be here, Yoongi. If Taehyung-Deputy Commissioner Kim-finds out, there could be serious consequences for you."
Yoongi smirked, a hint of arrogance in his expression. "I'm not worried about Taehyung. I just wanted to see you, to talk. We never had a proper chance to discuss things after... everything."
"There's nothing to discuss," Y/N said firmly.
Yoongi's eyes darkened slightly. "He Protected you? Is that what you think? I cared about you, Y/N. More than you could ever know."
Y/N felt a shiver run down her spine. She needed to end this conversation and get Yoongi out of her office. "You need to leave, Yoongi. Now. This is neither the time nor the place for this."
Before Yoongi could respond, the door burst open, and Hoseok stormed in, his expression a mix of anger and protectiveness. "Y/N, are you okay?" he demanded, his eyes darting to Yoongi.
Yoongi's smirk widened. "Lieutenant Jung, always the hero."
Hoseok ignored the jab and stepped closer to Y/N, his presence a reassuring barrier between her and Yoongi. "Y/N, do you want him removed?"
Y/N nodded, her voice steady despite the fear she felt. "Yes, Hoseok. Please escort him out."
Yoongi raised his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright. No need to get violent. I was just leaving."
As Hoseok led Yoongi out of her office, Y/N sank back into her chair, her mind racing. This unexpected encounter had brought back all the old fears and anxieties. She needed to inform Taehyung immediately.
As soon as the door closed behind Hoseok and Yoongi, Y/N grabbed her phone and dialed Taehyung's number. It rang twice before he answered.
"Hey, Y/N. Everything okay?" Taehyung's voice was warm and concerned.
"Taehyung," Y/N said, her voice trembling slightly, "Yoongi was just here. He showed up in my office."
There was a pause, and then Taehyung's tone turned serious. "What did he want? Are you alright?"
