Artemis's Devotion

Chapter 7

"This is your room, Rose" Artemis opens the door.

"My room?" She asks in confusion.

"Yes, from now on it will be yours" He clears her doubt.

"How could you decide that I will be staying here with you?"

"We are not staying in one room, but in separate" He chuckles.

"Any how, it will be same. Whether we are staying in a single room or not!" she yells.

"Why are you yelling?" He sees the surroundings, grabs her hand and takes her into the room.

"Leave me, Artemis" She tries to remove his grip.

"I am sorry for that, you need to listen to me alright? you have no family except you and your friends in your flat. You came to me for the help and I am taking care of things" He releases the grip.

"I don't want any sympathy from you, Artemis" She says on his face.

"Oh really, then why did you come here?" He asks.

"I came here because..." She thinks to cover the actual reason.

"Because you know I am the only one who can take care of you" He completes the sentence.

"I can't Artemis" She tries to leave the room.

He stops her by holding her hand.

She turns back.

"If I didn't help you, I will be a loser" He says in a worried tone.

"What?"

"Yes, I wanted to help you. Take care of you" He says in a concerned tone.

"Why? you are my friend. I met you like 2 days before?"

"Friendship bond doesn't relate with timeline, Rose!"

"Then why do you care so much about me?"

"Because..." He stops in frustration.

"Because?" She encourages him to continue.

"Because you are the only closest friend of mine and I don't want to lose you"

Rose controls the tears in her eyes.

"Okay, I will stay here only for one day then I will leave to my place"

"It's your wish, Rose! You will be well taken care of by me in all ways" He assures her and leaves the room.

"Artemis?" 

He stops walking and turns towards her.

She slowly walks towards him.

There is a few-inch gap between them.

"I didn't expect that you would take care of me in a proper way. I mean, we have known each other for 2 days and you have become like a guardian angel to me" She smiles.

He smiles.

"Are you for real?"

"What?" He confused.

"You are so kind and well-mannered"

He smiles again.

"Take rest" He kisses her hand and leaves.

While getting down the stairs, He meets Uncle David.

"Uncle David, I am coming to your room to discuss her health condition"

"Yeah, I was coming to your room for that purpose only. Come on, there is a lot to discuss about her" Uncle David keeps his hand on Artemis's shoulder.

They both go to the garden area.
