Artemis's Devotion

Chapter 15

Jana arrives in Manhattan, New York with a single-minded goal to confront Artemis and destroy him completely. She checks into a small and luxurious hotel and begins to gather information about the local private investigator. The room was very small but it has a view of the city below.

 She is a few miles away from Vanderbilt's Mansion so it will be easier for her to track him at any time.

She hires a local private investigator named Carl,  with the money she has right now. She has spent some days with him, she knows how his security guards and bodyguards and personal assistant are close to him and protect him all the time. But right now, she wants to track his every step and hunt him down without wasting any chance.

Carl is a man with a lot of discipline in his work. The moment she hired him, he started working and fetching all the information about his movements and providing Jana with detailed reports. 

Being the CEO of a reputed company, he has a habit of maintaining a fitness regime in his life by doing morning jogging, going to the office and attending social clubs, meetings, and all stuff.

It's been two days since Jana has arrived here in Manhattan. She and Carl had gained a lot of information about Artemis's upcoming schedule and hired a killer to help them. They made a perfect plan to kill him. She knows how Artemis is a step ahead in every task either it can be his profession or private life. She knows his capabilities and strength.

It is evening, and she is very tired and needs rest.

"Carl, thank you! You may leave now. Thank you for everything. I will send the amount to you in online " She says to Carl in her hotel room.

"Yes, Miss Florence" Carl leaves.

She feels hungry and goes to the first floor to have some food.

She sits on the table with her pasta. Before taking a spoonful of pasta, she caught someone's attention.

She turns around and sees a male watching her, his gaze is nearly equivalent to a lion watching his prey.

Feeling uneasy, she stops minding his business and starts eating. After completing the pasta, she pays the money and goes to the elevator area.

"Hi, I am Alex!" A man approaches her in front of the elevator area.

"Hello, I am Jana! Are you stalking me?" She asks.

"Yes!"

"Why so?"

"You are the most beautiful person I have seen till now" He flirts with her.

"Boy! I don't have enough time for this shit" She presses the button.

"Well, I too don't have" He says.

"Whatever" She groans and enters into lift.

He follows her.

"Are you following me?"

"No, I am heading to my room" He says confidently.

There is an awkward silence between them for a while.

The moment the elevator door closes, he grabs her hand and kisses her lips passionately.

"What the fu?" She gasps and kisses him back.

He deepens the kiss. the lift arrived on the 3rd floor and still two floors are left.

"Sorry for that" He breaks the kiss.

"No! Don't stop" She kisses him back.

The lift is arrived on the fifth floor.

"Do you live on the fifth floor, too?" She breaks the kiss
